I never said i was a self appointed expert on depreciation. I've experienced heavy depreciation and i'm now over it,
Cool, glad youve at long last admitted you're not the expert and have been clobbered by depreciation on numerous cars despite picking on my abstract initial choices! I doubt I'll catch up with your 'heavy depreciation' record but I might just try!
    Any recommendations for Italian weaknesses?
Funnily, i've been pondering a small Caddy sized van to facilitate a side project i'm going to work on. I havent seen much movement yet, but in theory markets like pickups and vans are likely to be hit by the upcoming downturn.
Would be interesting to hear if anyone has direct experience?

Why? So you can argue with them?

I never said i was "the expert"? I'm just a car enthusiast with spare time on his hands who likes posting on forums about cars.

Yes, cars depreciate. Sometimes its palatable, sometimes its not. Sometimes its worth it, sometimes its not. I'm glad we did the A45, but i wouldnt do it again.

Trust me on this - your Alfa WILL depreciate heavily. Expect offers of around £32K ish @ 2 years old. And given you paid £55Kish for it =

And its not like it will stop dropping there....big Alfas never do.

Perhaps acceptable for a car enthusiast with a passion for cars endulging their hobby i guess, but you're not. ;)

That's a positively polite reply compered to some of your prickly tetchy responses here and elsewhere.

And i guess you should know, given you've spent the evening trawling through my posting history even on other forums.

Thats a bit cringeworthy TBH. :o

Maybe over there but high £40's/ £50k here on autotrader for a two year old with miles and dings, £68k with ccb!! There's a Q plate for £35k that was a waterlogged write off! Could be a future classic that everyone wants....allegedly. Who cares anyway. Tote amazeballs thing to drive, surprisingly there's even better.

That's exactly how I felt when you've followed me around, at least I've only done it tonight and not for many, many months.:o

Ha ha, you're funny, although I don't think you intend to be.
My original post was on topic about cash vs debt but was deflected by someone else. Do try and keep up if not just stick to your pin thing.....:rotfl:
