Where to live in Bradford?

Where would that put me? Leeds or the other side of Bradford?0

About 30 miles away from Bradford!Really? That bad?
It isn't quite that bad, but there are definitely large areas to avoid.
Within Bradford council area, Baildon, Menston, Burley in Wharfedale and Ilkley are okay. Basically the more rural the better.
Go across the border in to Leeds or North Yorkshire for better areas.
Basically the house prices will indicate the quality of the area in general.Zebras rock0 -

Thanks. How is the public transport between these places?0 -
If you like the city life, then Leeds is great and has frequent trains into the two Bradford stations (about half an hour journey). Unfortunately rush hour traffic around Leeds is bad if you want to drive.0

Have a look at Saltaire.0

I think living in Leeds and commuting to Bradford on the train would be so-able0

Leeds defintiely looks more promising. Any areas of Leeds I should avoid?0

All have train lines that go to Bradford. You would want to be living reasonable close to the station though.
Buses in the whole of West Yorkshire once you get 2-3 miles outside of a city centre are worse than rubbish.Zebras rock0 -

Yes.
I guess you will rent initially and explore in your own time. Areas you might want to look at living in: Headingly (large student population), Burley (different from Burley in Wharfedale), Kirkstall, Woodhouse or in the city centre itself if budget allows. Also Pudsey as mentioned is not too far away.0
