Hi everyone ,
I hope you are all well and life is being good to you.
We are still awaiting to hear back from the housing association regarding the bill from our old property.
I had a meeting at work today regarding reducing my hours. I have a plan and I think it will work better overall with my family.
Overall I should earn a minimum of £3200 more a year after tax and national insurance for working the same hours. But over the year it will feel like I'm at home more. As I will work more during term time and less in the school holidays.
Today was a no spend day
Yesterday I spent £3 In Tesco on milk and a cake
Sunday we spent £60 on fuel
£26 on soft play entrance
£40 in Tesco on shoes and clothes for me and the kids (I got some trainers for work as my other shoes were getting too uncomfortable , some school shoes for ds2 which scanned through at £5 , and some socks for all of them and some leggings and underwear for myself)
Was a costly day but we didn't buy anything we didnt need.
I have a day off tomorrow and have a few things I want to get done. I'm feeling really tired recently so tonight I'm going to chill in front of the sofa and then tomorrow I'll crack on with my diploma stuff. (oh reducing my hours will aparently mean I'll have longer to complete my diploma) .
The plan for october
~ book overtime
~ put £500 In the savings (current balance £3000)
~ make an extra overpayment to the mortgage
~ complete all diploma work on time
~ start the month with an empty to-do listed
And the star goal

That all sounds great. Well done you!I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.
happiness isn't achieved by getting extra things,
but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy0 -
Thankyou Chrystal :j
Good morning everyone , it's a bit wet here today.
I'm in a lot of pain today and very tired. I don't expect to get a lot done. I'll be spending the day relaxing. I think sometimes this is needed. It's like a social media post said that I saw not long ago. You wouldn't let your mobile phone battery go flat so why do we do it to our body.
Today will be a no spend day.
Kids have been taken to school , I picked up prescriptions on the way home . (No charge here for prescriptions) :j
I applied for the warm home discount the other day. (I have forgotten to apply for this the last 5 years)
Today I'll be having a relax. Getting some diploma work done. And just having a general clean and tidy. Tonight I'm going to take myself to bed early and tomorrow I'm going to give the whole house a good tidy and get better organisation in place. Now our home is so much bigger it's easy for it soon become disorganized and every room look like Chaos.
I had to transfer some money from savings during September hence why our savings have dropped to £3000 but I should be able to transfer some back.
I've also gone against my view on budgeting apps and downloaded one to help us stay on track from October. We need to do this as we have a holiday coming up and soon after will be ds2 birthday then Christmas and then ds1 birthday soon after Xmas . And £3000 is the lowest I'll be letting our savings drop.
I will try and pick up some overtime at work though this week if I have the energy so next month's pay and Novembers pay (overtime in October) has a bit of a boost . :money:

Hello my beautiful diary friends,
I hope you are all well
I'm going to admit. I've felt really deflated this month regarding our finances.
I think it's because we have spent so much without realising it . (Some essential like fuel).
I was thinking back and it gave me alot to think about. We managed to get all the money saved for the house and cleared all that debt in such a short time. So what's gone wrong?
I know during June July and August we kind of lost ourselves. We had got to where we wanted .. debt free and homeowners and I think we just developed a more relaxed view on what we were spending.
This month (September) it's caught up with us and a massive drop in the savings was the hard hitter I think I/we needed.
So we have a budget set for October and it's a bit more realistic than our previous budgets.
I'm now starting to take on the views
"We don't buy things with money, we buy them with ours from our lives"
And also I've been thinking about it
If I died at 70 (example) I'd of spent over half my life (40 years) (4/7 of my life) paying my mortgage (with no overpayments). I could overpay and get it cleared within a 1/7 of my life. So why am I wasting so much money to just pay my mortgage for longer. And probably never have the money for life experiences I hope for (like traveling) because I chose to waste my money on food that ends up in the bin and cushions that have to be moved to sit on my sofa because they are so big !
I think today has given me clarity on why I started this third diary. Because I want to one day be able to enjoy my life without having to work all the hours under the sun to pay for it.
So with a kick up the backside .. which is very much needed.
So here goes

Hello my beautiful diary friends,
I hope you are all well.
Today has been a really good day.. I feel like I can breathe a sigh of relief and like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders.
Ds2 had his appointment with his new peadiatrician today she has done all the referrals we asked for. These referrals I've been begging for , for nearly 4 years in our old location. :j:j:j:j:j
I've also had my new hours approved at work. :j:j:j
And we took eldest to his high school open evening . I can't believe he starts High school in sept 2020 !
I've put more fuel in the car £51
And brought some jars from Tesco for pasta and rice. (I'm going to be doing open shelving until we can afford to completely re-model the kitchen.) So I'll be getting different food storage and jars over the coming months.
Nothing else to report.
