    katsu I don't own a tumble dryer and never had - I still like to put it as something small I do. I suspect seeing as I've got through almost 30 years as an adult with a home and kids without one I'll never get one now. Hurrah for expensive things we don't need!

    I've never had one either DNMS. When the children were small I might have considered it, but couldn't afford it. Certainly shan't be bothering now!

    Hi July Jollies,

    Been quite busy in the real world.

    Debt-Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Five:

    * Check online banking. Done.

    * Continue my Challenge 500 miles challenge to travel 500 miles for free before the end of 2019: walking, hiking, climbing, cycling, running and swimming. I'm up to 270/500. Done.Over halfway there! :T

    * Clear out In Tray.
    Done.

    * Clear out wallet.
    Done.

    * Clear emails. Done.

    * Have a massive clear out of the kitchen food cupboards. Done. Eating our way through a huge range of random stuff in random combinations. This is because DW has an injury and isn't up to shopping this week, so we're just eating the [STRIKE]dross[/STRIKE] valuable oddments. On the positive side we found two jars of curry sauce we had forgotten and we have a zillion jars of fancy instant coffee to get through. I was really glad we have been freezing wee potions of leftovers because these are coming in very handy for DW to nuke for lunch.

    We never had and never will have a tumble dryer, expensive to both buy & run.

    Mid-afternoon until very late we are off to a joint celebration for a couple of significant birthdays. Friends from out of the county are coming for lunch and then we are all going to the party.

    Before the fun commences we need to:
    PAD
    A couple of lessons with the children
    Pmp
    Change the standing order I planned to do yesterday
    A quick tidy up
    Set the washing machine to run overnight
    Make porridge
    Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent
    79.5 coupons rolled over 4/75.5 coupons spent - using for secondhand purchases

    Good morning! :coffee:
    I really can't remember the last time I had a weekend without work, but here we are :j No tutoring, no exam marking and nothing much for school next week. So I predict a weekend of doing little bits about the house that have been a bit neglected while I've been so busy - therefore this is the perfect place to write everything down and make sure I get something productive done...
    So, plans for the weekend include:
    Catch up with bestie over a quick coffee this morning
    Finally submit my travel expenses from 3 weeks ago :o
    Put some stuff up into the loft
    Make time for a bit of crochet
    Meal plan for the week ahead (yes, really)
    Very small top up shop to see us through until the end of next week.
    Help ds make a start on packing for hols
    Get the rubbish and recycling out of the house
    Print out travel documents
    Sweep the kitchen floor
    Do not spend free time eating :rotfl:
    Having done literally nothing for six weeks I really need to get some of these small bits done...
    Have a good day everyone - hope all is well :wave:

    Morning all

    CCL - enjoy your pottering day!

    I'm going to be doing a similar thing today. We have been out of the house pretty much since last Thursday when FIL first went downhill. We have been at MIL's most of the time since (or in work too). Today we are both at home until OH goes out to gig later. There are some things that must be done:

    :heartpuls Wash bedding - done and remake
    :heartpuls Activate new 0% cc - done
    :heartpuls Have a potter round the garden, quick weed, pull up peas now they are done - done
    :heartpuls Pay off holiday balance - have emailed to check payment method
    :heartpuls Do some personal filing - done
    :heartpuls Take 2 bags of FIL's stuff to cs - done
    :heartpuls Top up dye on hair - done
    :heartpuls Pluck eyebrows as I am a skank - done
    :heartpuls Post letter for OH's speeding fine - done
    :heartpuls Make dump bag for sc on Monday. Have settled for a mild tomatoey chicken curry. Thanks to all those who gave me suggestions :)
    :heartpuls Made a fairy cake with our pitiful cherry harvest (5 cherries) for OH. Glad not to waste them at least! - done
    :heartpuls Maybe put sealant on new shed - Bless. OH saw this and toddled off to do it. Everything back in the shed now and I've hoovered the dining room
    :heartpuls Maybe some knitting/crochet? Have not felt like thinking so haven't touched it for a bit

    Have a good one all

    Hi everyone,

    Please ignore my typos - I've got a baby feeding here so I'm on my phone. :D Also saving money as not buying 'spensive formula. :)

    Here's me:
    Checked banking and YNAB
    slow cooked veggie tagine for tea
    HM bread :)
    Meal planning - dug through freezer too - surprised myself!
    Pasta for lunch - turned off hob when water boiled and just left it to do its thing in the hot water
    Hired a baby sling. Need to check if baby will use it before committing!

    I'm sure I'll think of some more...

    To do:
    Update spending spreadsheet, it has gone all tits up since my regular work computer went on strike 2 weeks ago and only might be fixed next week, when mac man is back from holls. (Yes I keep it on my work computer, my own laptop is ready to send of to a museum).
    Check bank account - scared. actually it was sort of ok - threw everything on to savings/budget account, as is getting more cover pay on Friday.
    Fridge odds and ends w crepes for dinner - yum - and road to freedom for pudding :-)
    Take a nap and go for a free run - as have done no exercise for 10 days. Went for a run this morning, harsh for my standard, but tired felt good after spending a lot of time in the car and just sitting down.
    Make meal plan for next week. done
    La escocesa - tagine is great - made a chicken - date - preserved lemon- tagine this week and it was absolutely fragrant. (making it again tomorrow for 'kitchenless friends'
    Am on holls now so just various days of cover work and working on my website.
    And have a lovely Saturday ...
