    Morning all :)
Planning to walk into town today to buy some salad bits (the heat has done my salad leaves and radishes no favours, and there are no cucumbers or tomatoes yet :( But I do have loads of spring onions, so won't be buying those :))
OH says he is coming with me, to keep an eye on me - I can't complain though, I am always on at him to take more exercise :rotfl:Done, only had to stop to rest on the way back once :T Found some YS braising beef, which is now bubbling away in the SC with veg etc to make a big casserole :)
    Apart from that:
Potato salad from HG potatoes for dinner :)Done
Think about storage for HG garlic - I think I know what I want, now have to source it... for as little money as possible! Or better still, see if I already have something suitable in my sales stock (I am an antiques / vintage dealer, and buy and sell lots of kitchenalia and garden stuff) Done, I originally thought a basket with a lid, or au unglazed earthenware vessel of some kind, but I settled for a large cotton drawstring bag that I already have. This can hang from a hook in the larder. So no cost there :T
Reply to freecycler who wants 3 large bowls I listed on the site. One of my neighbours has just moved, and gave them to OH 'for me to sell' - but they aren't vintage, just useful secondhand bowls in great condition. I don't need them, so it would be great if someone else does :)Waiting to hear when she wants to collect
Ought to do some housework today Not today :o Only managed several lots of washing up and clearing the sink and worktops
    And make a cake Done
Water anything I forgot yesterday and feed the pots of tomatoes and beans Done
That's enough, will report back on actual progress later!

Lovely start to the morning, dd brought me breakfast in bed :)

The rain is coming down in stair rods and looks set to be with us all day. Which has put paid to a couple of things I wanted to do in the garden today, mainly drying the washing and tidying up under the fruit trees.

    Todays plans:
    PAD
    Check bank accounts
    Move money
    Home educate children for free
Update spending diary with yesterdays spends
    B/L/D from stores
    Stick to the meal plan
    Make porridge
    Make bread
    Pmp
Keep up to date with my email accounts
Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent
79.5 coupons rolled over 4/75.5 coupons spent - using for secondhand purchases

    Morning Campers,
It's camping weather today.... dry, but with that bit of a hint in the air that a shower could arrive. It's always like that when we are away in our tent.
    Today's list of frugal behaviour:
*Two loads of laundry pegged out. I only managed to nab half an hour of cheap rate electricity today, but better than nothing.
*Pick watercress, lettuce, tomatoes, herbs, spring onions & maybe a few strawberries.
    *Batch cooking for freezer.
    *Make tomorrow's packed lunch.
*Pay £20 back to Car savings piggy, as I borrowed it at the weekend.
*Pick more sweet peas for the lounge windowsill. They smell so lovely.... & natural.
*Two baths from one lot of hot water.
    *Check for surveys.
*Do an annoying job which has sat around for a month.
*I'd like to sow some seeds, but that may migrate to tomorrow's list.
*Zizzed up a stale loaf end for freezer breadcrumb bag.
*Sit quietly in our lovely garden & send positive vibes to all in my circle of friends & family who need them atm.
That's my coffee snarfed, must crack on with my cooking morning.

    Morning all,

    Todays list
    # washed a load on the quick 30 degree wash including a tshirt dh got grease on last night that I'd tried to save - and hung all out on the line now to dry, its warm but cloudy here today. I think the tshirt is saved but will check when dry
    # more items added to the various declutter bags including a computer monitor, lots of clothes that I got ds2 to try last night which he's ourgrown, a couple of jackets that I've had for years and years but can't remember when I lost wore them, some karate fighting gloves and some shoes that I loved but were never comfortable!
    # looking on CEX again to see about shifting some electricals, we have old amzn fire sticks, now tv boxes (which we don't need as our tv has apps for these which is much easier) and some apple tv things (which were given to us by someone dh used to work with) will discuss tonight with dh before committing.
    # booked kids into the local hairdressers for tonight, ds2 has a big day tomorrow and want him to look his best!

Thats my tea break over I better get back to the decluttering as the house still looks a mess but its getting better!

    Take care all
Banking checked, spreadsheet updated and new account for ds2 applied for.
Put 2 big bags in my car to drop at the charity shop when passing by tomorrow.
Also put a bag of plastics, coathangers and the bag of unused toiletries into my car to drop off in Tescos when near by tomorrow. (I can actually see my hallway floor again!)
Washing brought in a all just hung away with the exception of a few work shirts that needed ironing, all away now.
Cut the grass as our garden waste goes tomorrow so may as well make the most of it.
Have put a bowl in my sink and have been collecting water in from washing hands etc, it may as well go on the garden rather then down the drain as I have a big-ish garden it takes quite a bit of watering!
Pesto from the use up box with some pasta and diced chicken with a handful of sweetcorn for tea tonight, smells lovely.
Posted a card (made do with one from my limited stash) used rm survey stamps.
Done a couple of 1 poll surveys
Cleaned the kitchen using stardrops and washable cloths

Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.

1LuckyLady thank you for reminding me about CEX etc. I sorted out a few old phones ages ago then forgot about them. I will work out how to make sure everything is deleted on them and look at taking them into CEX.

We are reeling a bit from unexpected garage costs - got to love cars - but our MSE ways are there to help us so I have been sorting out and cleaning up things to sell. I'm not going to cover the garage bill fully but it all helps.

Ordered my first shoppix voucher, finally! Really pleased about that. Also downloaded shopmium so am ready to try that out.

Had an appointment so left early for it and managed to park in the free parking and popped in Sainsbugs on the way back and got some reduced dates for me and reduced hot chicken for DH. Bit odd for our dinners but a nice change from our usual food :rotfl:

    Hi everyone

PF - Thanks for starting us off this week

Hi to all of the regulars and a BIG welcome to all the newbies, this is a really FAB thread with so many lovely, caring, considerate and supportive people.

Well we're back from our fabulous holiday, haven't caught up on the threads while we were away so will do that tomorrow. Have managed to make today count and get lots done despite arriving home at 7.45 this morning and having no sleep for 24 hours. Today we have:

    Checked Bank & made PAD
Transferred unused currency back into bank
Paid newspaper bill (DH took out a special offer for our local newspaper and cancelled once offer finished)
Prepped all RM Survey items (disappointed that I registered our holidays and have come home to lots that should have been posted while we were away)
Shopping (and used £45 of Mr M vouchers that I'd saved so far this year, will save any now towards Christmas)
    Upload receipts to COS/Shoppix
    Claimed monies available from COS
    Claimed monies available from TCB
    Cases emptied and away
    Lots of washing
    Some ironing
    Swagbucks
    Purged a few emails
    All meals from cupboards/fridge/freezer
    Checked: Lucky Bob, PMP, WinaDinner

Catch you all tomorrow, night all!

Had micro 3 day holiday trip sightseeing and walking in Wales, included some MSE successes and some fails - but mostly a smashing couple of days w my mom. In 3 days we managed 1 castle, a decent walk, a slate mine museum, a waterfall, an aqueduct and a national trust property, which actually was lovely, and at least the parking was free.
All meals cooked in and we brought our lunches, but might have bought some cups of coffee (nice though).
Looking forward to a proper read of test of thread after weekend, when all is calm and quiet again.
And dog is as good as new.
