And I have asked him for evidence of the postage receipt, he refused.0

The complaint is open with Royal Mail I’ll see what they say and if they provide evidence that supports me I’ll do a chargeback!
Yup,you successfully added layers of red tape and people.redditrabbit wrote: »And I have asked him for evidence of the postage receipt, he refused.
So you basically are calling him a liar.
Honestly. I do wonder sometimes.
I advised you to contact at a local level for good reason.
For good or bad I have a fair knowledge of RMs systems.
The CRT (complaints) system is punitive to delivery office managers.
This can lead to defensive or detail lacking responses.
Also the timescales for access to GPS data are short. wasting time with CRTs can lead to no data being available.
Its been 2 days since I advised you to contact your local office.
With the right person you could quickly find out if the item has been delivered to the right street and is addressed to your address.
Very often these basic checks flag up obvious issues very quickly.0 -

And this is the sort of evidence that would have helped the OP in their Paypal appeal.
Op, you won't get anywhere with Paypal now. You get one chance at a case and one chance at appealing that decision. Simply telling Paypal you don't have it, isn't enough.
Your only chances are RM, chargeback or civil action - act as per the post above mine and then use that [hopefully favourable outcome] to ask your card provider to dispute the transaction. I am on my phone so can't see what the value was or how you paid - but most card companies deem Paypal to be an intermediary - therefore you may have to convince your card provider to act, but at least if you have conclusive evidence you might get somewhere.
You will need the sellers name and address to proceed with any civil action - starting with an LBA (google it) if everything else fails.0 -
Strange outcome to this one. I located the parcel after speaking to the postie.
Anyway as it turns out, the item seems to have water damage, either by sitting in my garden for a little over a week or was sent like that.
I spoke to eBay who opened a case and accepted the return and sent me a label. I was in communication with buyer and took videos of the item not switching on. He was helpful and agreed to refund me etc. Problem being that eBay gave me his OLD address so the item got returned to me. I spoke to eBay who realised their error and ultimately said you have a case with PayPal anyway so go to them.
I did, and they decided in my favour, provided me with a refund, but didn’t take his money. So everyone is happy.
This morning I get the item back. What do I do with it? Neither eBay or Paypal have advised me to return it again. I know a lot of people will say send it back, but it’s faulty (still doesn’t turn on) and to be honest this whole situation has caused me so much stress. I just want to put it in the bin.0 -

Oh dear, Should have went to Specsavers:)The world is not ruined by the wickedness of the wicked, but by the weakness of the good. Napoleon0 -
lol was hidden in with my logs for the fire. They must have taken them out one by one and put them back in says she left a card but definitely didn’t.
So annoyed but in all honesty it’s the very last place I’d have expected it to be, hence why I didn’t look there0 -
Think she must have been there a good ten minutes, it’s like a game of Jenga in there lol0

Hoping for some further advice on this.
I threw the item away due to it being faulty, and the fact the seller and buyer (me) but got our money back.
He has contacted me today asking when I’m sending it back - I explained Paypal advised didn’t have to do anything further so I threw the item away. He’s now saying it’s theft as Paypal haven’t refunded him . He sent me a screenshot of the message weeks ago from paypal saying they’ve refunded both of us, and a screenshot of a negative balance (with time cropped at the top) but not sure how genuine this is.
He is now saying he will take it further. As far as I’m concerned I’ve done nothing wrong but could do without the hassle at the moment due to a family members health.
Have I don’t anything wrong? I appreciate its a grey area (Paypal refunded us both as far as I am aware) and eBay don’t want to know because Paypal are involved.0 -
How much are we talking about for this item?0

I paid £1130
