Your best bet is going to be Royal Mail I suppose, to prove where they delivered to as they don't have your signature.
My postman has got quite creative, the other day he hid something in my outside meter cupboard, presume he has a utility key on him, not complaining as it saved a trip to the depot and he did scrawl a note to say.
Is it possible a neighbour took it in?, or he put the item over a garden gate or in a meter cupboard etc and he didn't bother/forgot to leave a note?0 -
Speak to your local RM office. Get them to check the GPS/user on the parcelredditrabbit wrote: »Ok so I contacted Royal Mail and raised a complaint. It takes 10 days apparently, although the local DO Manager has three days to reply to them.
I have advised PayPal and seller I will go all the way with this. I have contacted the police for advice, reported it to Action Fraud and spoke to my bank. Due to this the seller won’t speak to me anymore (I have asked for a copy of the receipt and now he’s on holiday apparently). He is saying that he won’t speak to me anymore because he’s been advised not to because of threats of legal proceedings (not by me??) and the threat of going to the police.
Well blow me sideways but does he blame me? He’s ok, he has his money, I’m just supposed to sit here and accept it?!
I advised you to contact your local office for a reason.0 -
I can’t get to my local depot until tomorrow, which is why I called up. I am hoping to catch the delivery person tomorrow to ask if it was them and where they left it.
Thing is, if GPS shows at being at my house, and the postie left it somewhere I can’t prove either way. This has put me right off eBay0 -
I once had a parcel marked as delivered, on a weekend when it was an office which isn't open at the weekend, and before 8.00am, when if it had been a working day, the office would not have been open.
Ebay said that because RM said it was delivered, they automatically believed that it was, because they are a postal delivery provider. I lost £80.00.Still striving to be mortgage free before I get to a point I can't enjoy it.

This is my point. I’m lost really. I’m hoping to catch postie in the morning. I’m just hoping they be left it somewhere silly (silly enough they I haven’t even thought of looking there)0

You'd have pretty much the same experience and possible problems in the majority of places.
Telling the seller your going to the police isn't really a good idea as you need to keep them onside to assist you.
As above a visit to the delivery office for a simple chat is best, I understand it's an inconvenience but it is the most direct way for either party to get an idea of where the parcel may have been delivered.
Royal Mail's central customer service is terrible, staff in the depots tend to be normal people happy to help you out.In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0 -
But if I go to the police it won’t be about him, it will be about someone stealing my parcel. Ultimately he’d already said his part in this is done, Paypal have sided with him so he won’t be talking to me anymore.
Out of interest why is it important to keep seller onside?0 -
Ok so Paypal has refused my appeal.
Absolute joke! Half tempted to do a chargeback and let them sing for their money!0 -
You bought it on a credit card? Worth a go. Good luck with getting your money back.Still striving to be mortgage free before I get to a point I can't enjoy it.
