Just noticed the Barclays switch offer is back, and seems to be availble for current members too!

And existing account holders can switch within the Barclays App, unlike the last version of this offer, where existing account holders had to make an appointment and visit a branch (still an option, but downloading the App is probably easier, even if you delete it again afterwards).

Looks like the current switch offer doesn't exclude existing customers who have already used similar offer in the past.

I took this offer last year that ended May. I think I'll give it another go using a newly opened Santander, nothing to lose as no other incentives I haven't done.

Does this mean start or complete the switch before 30th November?


Unfortunately it doesn't appear that you can switch online unless you use the Barclays App. As Zanderman suggests, it's probably easiest to download it then delete it again after the switch.

So if I switched in November, would I get double rewards for 12 months from November 2019 to November 2020? Basically a switch anytime between now and November means double rewards for 12 months regardless?

I just opened a current account with the intention of switching to qualify for the double rewards.
It seems to complete a full switch to Barclays using CASS it is necessary to visit a branch to show ID within 5 days of starting the switch or else the switch will be cancelled.
I live quite a distance from a Barclays branch so i contacted them via live chat to ask alternative options and they confirmed it would be necessary to visit a branch!
Never had this requirement before to make a switch!

Yes basically but you do have to 'opt in' to blue rewards.

Does anybody know specifically where in the app the option is to switch accounts I've had a look and it is not obvious where it is
