Seeing your quiche bubbs reminded me of childhood. Mam used to bake a lot for chapel functions and any that were 'caramelised' were rejected so we got to eat them!:D

Not sure if today's menu is at all suitable for the weather. I'll write down what I planned and make changes as necessary depending on how we feel.

Whatever happens, I know I'll be having plenty of water. :D

I know I've only been properly back on plan for a couple of days but still feeling really bloated and FAT! It's probably all the off plan eating out catching up with me. :(

I read some stuff yesterday (on a link to mumsnet that popped up on my phone) about the CC's new book. Apparently they're not allowed put any reference to SW in the book. 'Interesting' discussion polarised between those that can see why SW as a business wouldn't approve and those who have an axe to grind mainly IMO because SW hasn't worked for them because they lack staying power.;)

    Today's EE pplan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB toast with fried egg and baked beans, HEA milk for drinks
L: JP with cottage cheese and pickles
D: sausage, mash, onions, cauli, cabbage, broccoli, carrots
    Syns: gravy 4?

Maman Had a quick look at the link but not impressed with the tone of a lot of the comments I saw. I agree with whoever it was said SW were entitled to protect their copyright. I don't think it matters a jot that PON and CC aren't allowed to show the Syns because if you're a member or have been in the past you can easily work out the syns for yourself - which is what I did with the PON book and wrote the syns at the top of each page so I don't have to work it out each time I use a recipe. Much the same as I do with BBC food recipes or JO recipes etc.

    Today's plan:

B - Kelloggs no added sugar muesli & Milk - HEB & part HEA
L - corned beef salad with 15g of cheddar (part HEA & 1.5 syns)
D - teriyaki salmon, stir fried veg & noodles

    HEA1 & part 2 - milk;
    HEB - museli
    Syns - corned beef 1.5
  • Bloods have come back fine, so hopefully this means that correct service is restored now & I finally start on the loss route again. I am sticking with reducing the amount of carbs I have, so hopefully this, along with confirmation that I am as healthy as a trout will help me lose 1/2 stone before I go away at beginning of September, 6 weighins before I go, if I do manage 1lb a week, I will be more than happy!
A smile costs little but creates much :)

I'm still on weekly blood tests for at least the next 3 or 4 weeks then a nuclear scan:eek:. Not looking forward to that as it's on my neck and I get claustraphobic and don't like anything near my face!

Back to hospital again tomorrow for another blood test and then sit and wait to find out if I have to have more fluids and medication. If I have to have them it'll be another all day job! Have cooked Syn Free scotch eggs for us and will also make a corned beef & Syn Free red onion chutney sandwich so at least I can keep my syns low for lunch but also have leeway for DH to get me some chocolate or something if I'm there all day!

Off to make a chickpea and aubergine curry now ready for dinner tomorrow night so all I'll have to do is reheat it and cook some rice so nice and quick if we're late.

Feeling a bit frustrated here with a STS after WI today. Only lost 0.5lb last week and have been on plan as usual, so was expecting a loss this week. Felt slimmer and need another hole in my belt, so perhaps this week it is inches instead of pounds? Dunno. Or it is the heat and retaining water, who knows, ankles are puffy. Anyway, will keep at it, appetite disappears on a day like today but will make a big salad for later and am drinking loads of NAS squash.

Was thinking of making the dynorod soup but too hot for that! Ingredients will keep ;).

    Poundsinbucks x
    🥳🥳 SW -6st 3.5lbs 🥳🥳

That quite often happens PIB you lose inches rather than weight. It can be frustrating not to lose weight but at least it wasn't again. Sounds like you might have a bit of water retention if you have puffy ankles.

Good luck with the coming week for a loss.

Back to the PON book, actually looked at it last week and found it strange....nice enough book but just seemed to have no direction of the way recipes were but in it, plus it also had WW suitable recipes.

As for Mumsnet...it takes all sorts and no one forces you to go each week, plus just like everything else - SW is a brand, so yes they safe guard it.

Bubbs another lovely meal or two...me I am working up the energy, just back from walking the dog and cream cracked with the heat, got as far as sticking the green beans in pan and came and sat down, that was at 6 pm...is it just me or does anyone else not feel hungry when its hot..
