Did they stop and question me...no.   So they are obviously not bothered by how far I've run or how long for.
For now they will just be collecting evidence.
Guilty as charged then 😂 !!

I doubt they will really care.
Yes, I have a PB (whoop, whoop!), but it will remain my all-time PB: nothing at all against runners - good for you - but I just don't enjoy it!
I much prefer cycling.  Not very rapid with that, either, but love a nice day out (or hour or two nowadays!) in nice weather.  Should get a 12 mile roll out later this afternoon once work calls have ended
Also love hiking.....help run Gold DofE expeditions, which clearly isn't happening much this year (perhaps at all for 2020), but generally enjoy days out on the hills.
Hiking, for now, is really just a stroll for a few miles around the house, of course....at least the weather is nice for it  :D

    Plan for tomorrow, enjoy today!

Oh yes, we love a good hike too.

Hopefully by the autumn the Cotswolds, Peaks and Lakes will be "open" again (along with accomodation!)

It's too warm in the summer for "proper" walking (and too busy!)

I've just been commenting on another thread by an OP who seems to think that runners are the devils spawn, and that we should not be allowed out during daylight hours, in case we breathe too much.   Seriously, what is it with the anti-jogger sentiment, we're only trying to carry on with our lives as much as the rules allow.   Healthy body, healthy mind etc.

There's no "Y" in "witchhunt". Runners were anti-social pariahs before Covid, so it is normal we would be blamed for bringing pestilence (in addition to the usual crimes of being sweaty, getting in people's way, looking too fit, etc), along with the Chinese and the New World Order.

I think it's because others are not allowed to continue their sports. I can't go fishing and I live over the road from the sea, but I'm not anti runner as it gets Mrs C out of the house for an hour or so every other day.  :D

Wouldn't that count as "going out to collect food" :)

Ha, I saw that thread condemning runners. As both a runner and a walker it is cyclists I hate.!!!
Only joking it is all about being tolerant of each other.  Getting out in the fresh air to exercise is good for both our physical and mental health. And it appears the more healthy we are the more likely we are not to have severe COVID symptoms.
It can be frustrating when people get within 2 metres on paths without you getting the chance to get out of the way, though this is a minority of people. To protect myself as much as possible I am wearing a buff/snood to cover my nose and mouth. Research seems to indicate that although not as effective as a mask it can help. It seems to me that the countries who are managing this best are those that wear masks. I hope in the future there will be  masks available for all and effective testing in the UK so that the lockdown can be eased as soon as possible.

    Why do people hate runners?

I'm not a runner/jogger but i never have any bad thoughts when i pass one (in my car lol).  Maybe its because i live in the countryside?  Maybe townies hate them?

No, it's been debated to death on angling forums. It's socially unacceptable at the moment.

Here's an actual financial question for you...WWYD

If we've been budgeting for a monthly spend of £1250 (£15k pa) in "normal times", but in fact have only spent approx. £730 average over the first 4 months of the year (allowing for what we'll probably spend on groceries for the remainder of April), would you look to put the difference "saved" into your S&S ISA? (4 x £520 = £2080), and if so, would the more "volatile" fund (currently down 11.5% from its peak) be the one to go for?

Effectively this £2080 is currently "spare" in the budget, and could be added to, each month that we spend under £1250.   We don't get charged per transaction, so no need to worry about trading costs.

    What do you think?
