I've just opened an account with Loanpad, a P2P platform. Just with £250 so far, with a view to increase this to about £5000 once DH gets his tax rebate. (There is a separate thread about that - so if you want to discuss this matter specifically, please search it out)
Loanpad P2P - any reviews, experience of them here? Worth a dabble? — MoneySavingExpert Forum
I'll post about the highs (and possibly lows) here, when I have any pertinent information to impart!
I do hope your are not letting your disappointment in not winning on the PBs this month, lead you down the path of taking more risk with your money via P2P!If you want to be rich, live like you're poor; if you want to be poor, live like you're rich.3 -

Yes!! Next week we're clearing out our ISAs and flying to Vegas!!!!!
Seriously though, it's going to form less than 1% of our total pot. Those PBs are safe....for now!!!
The Loanpad money will probably be one of 3 things, going forward. New money (gifts), Any winnings (PB's), or money over and above what we spend, based on 3% of pot. e.g. at the end of the year (or whatever period), we have a 3% of pot of say £19,000, and we only spend £16,000. That £3000 can actually be chalked up as "spent/gone/surplus".
You can invest in increments of £10, so it really can be dripped into as and when.
We're still ensuring a reasonable "real" cash buffer, for both everyday spends and emergencies. How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)2 -
I had a flutter with P2P for a while. Pre-covid I decided to get out of that game but I still have a tiny amount with LendingCrowd and £1.2k with Ablrate that I just can't get out. Loans are being serviced (after a fashion) but the Ablrate ones keep getting extended due to Covid and were changed to IO for some time so it is a good job I don't need the money back any time soonI’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Pensions, Annuities & Retirement Planning, Loans

I never won nowt on PB’s this month either. My oh is so frustrating and old school, he won’t check his and waits to see if a cheque comes through post in next few weeks. Whereas I have to check the day of the draw.
Fed up with all my running /training niggles, and having badly sprained my ankle a few weeks ago have booked to see a Musculoskeletal / osteopath next week. Money well spent if he can help.

I am having the same issues with running, think it is my age, did a 10k yesterday luchtime and got another hamstring strain. I've booked a sports massage appt in the hope they can do something, as always getting calf and hamstring strains, althought pleased I managed to run over 100 miles last mth.Once I retire planning to do a lot more running, cycling, kayaking and golf. I think I just need to bite the bullet and go!Oh, and I won 2 x £25 and OH 1 x £25 on PB this month! It's just my opinion and not advice.2

Sorry to hear about those running niggles. I'm ok ATM, but my lower back is giving me some gip getting out of bed in the morning. Ok after a bit of a stretch.
I'm still doing 3 x 5-6 miles per week.
Good swim this morning too. 1 mile in 50 mins! Was nice and quiet. How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)1
