You must buy whiter than white full of preservatives and chemicals sliced bread then. Bread I buy has gone solid after a week at the outside.

No, only buy wholemeal or seeded wholemeal including Warburtons, a slice of whose I am just eating having been bought 8 days ago at reduced price due to being 24 hrs before its best before date.
If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales

And today's out-of-date find in Asda? A fruit pot (grape/apple/pineapple) dated 1st August ... Not in their reduced section, either.

Happens in all the supermarkets from time to time.

They really should barcode BB and UB dates, flag up BB dates at checkout if the item is not discounted, and prevent the sale where the UB date has passed.

A few weeks back i saw a "Marathon" bar for sale and a packet of "Opal fruits" also for sale. The Marathon was about 30 years beyond it's best before date. This was on eBay mind.

On a serious note, I have a tin of tuna bbe date Dec18 and just debating whether to open it or not?? Meat i am a bit funny with and not sure..
May you find your sister soon Helli.

pickles and jams and marmalades in the clearance section most of which were 3 to 6 months out of date. There was one lady who was emptying the shelves....For 30p a jar

Money savvy lady seeing as I just spent 50p per item from a glass jar manufacturer to cope with couple of glut chutney sessions. :)
