sorry, don't know but it is very likely that they would need your account number to process a claim with AA savings.JustAnotherSaver wrote: »What is the "order number" that is "8 digits and starts with a 2" for non ISAs?
Is this TopCashback's renaming of what everyone else calls an account number? Since my account numbers are 8 digits and begin with 2 then that's the only thing i can think of.
what other meaningful bank details are there? Giving the sort code and account number of your AA savings account to someone else carries zero risk as desposits and withdrawals can only be made from your linked account. In addition, the someone else is TCB in this case. If it all appears too risky / cumbersome to you, you have the option to not raise a claim................JustAnotherSaver wrote: »Can't say i've ever been asked for my sort code and order number when providing bank details though.0 -
Yes, well worth appealing in your case (and a few others). It will be interesting to see the result from those who have received a payment on their earlier claims, but have been rejected for further claims.JustAnotherSaver wrote: »Except it's my first that's been declined. My second is still pending.
It's normal for transactions to track for a nominal amount in situations like this where a deposit is made later, so the actual amount deposited should definitely be used in the claim.Though i also contacted TopCashBack and they advised to enter £100 as that's the amount that i deposited.
This is almost certainly account number - "order number" would be a good generic term to cover most situations. As colsten points out, there's really no risk in providing this information. Worst case scenario for a savings account, TCB deposits money without your permissionIs this TopCashback's renaming of what everyone else calls an account number? Can't say i've ever been asked for my sort code and order number when providing bank details though.

I've long suspected this, and the reports of fellow MSEers on here has only added to my suspicion, but I reckon TCB/Quidco 'pocket' a certain % of valid cashback payouts. After all, it would be very easy for them to do so and the end user would have no real idea...
I've had valid claims that track automatically go to 'decline' several times. Fortunately, approx. 50% of manual claims that I put in get paid out in the end.
However, looking at the statistics for AA Savings/TCB, only a third of manual claims payout.
Mine has been paid. OH's has been declined (separate TCB account). Manual claim inputted for OH.:grouphug:

Just done mine and it is tracking correctly so far with Topcashback (though only shows purchase price as £1). Fingers crossed it works as had a few things fail with them recentlyAn answer isn't spam just because you don't like it......0

Which one is it ... missed it or ignored it?
You've either missed what i said or you've chosen to ignore it.
One can be sort of forgiven that you didn't twig it, the other is just stupid.0 -
Except colsten nor anyone else needs to bother pointing that out .... because nobody was saying there was any risk in providing that information. As colsten points out, there's really no risk in providing this information.
And if they were then it most certainly wasn't me, so they don't need to be quoting me and talking to me like i was saying there was risk. Go quote the guy who said it's risky.
Unless of course nobody said it's risky, in which case they're (colsten) then making it up out of nowhere.0 -
Or most likely merely misread your post. It happens, best not to be triggered by it.JustAnotherSaver wrote: »Unless of course nobody said it's risky, in which case they're (colsten) then making it up out of nowhere.0 -

Having looked at 4 other family members top cash back accounts, so a total of 5 of us, only I was showing as declined, everyone else is pending for both applications (Issue 10 & 11 for each).
Everyone was opened up within a day or so of each other. My wife and I were same day, the other 3 were a day or two later. I think i took about a week to deposit my £100 but still well within the timeframe AA give.
Stop making things up.Calm down.0 -
It seems I am one of the lucky one. I open two accounts but on different issues. I just checked my TCB a few minutes ago 2x£15.75 "payable" now.
I just transfered it to my Bnak AC so they will have no more chance to get it back.
Sometimes you could only know if you tried it.0
