I'm looking at buying a couple of Nintendo DS Lite bundles from Gadget Asia and wondered if anyone could confirm that they are a reliable company.

I bought my daughter a red ds not value pack from there. Came really quick and free postage. I have a discount code for $5 off. I will pm you if you want the code? I can't guarntee the code will work for you but I recommend them 100%.

Never heard of them or used them. Usual rules apply though - no contact address or telephone number - just an email, so not a good start.

They are selling Gears of War on the 360 at a 'discount' price of £52.99 and last years Call of Duty 3 for £52.99 too. Those prices alone tell me that this website isn't being competitive when you can pick up gears, new for £15.99

Checking on the DS games list, games are cheaper on Play-Asia and they have a track record of getting things past HMRC duty/VAT. Also note the DS bundles come with an R4 adaptor which is usually used to play hacked games via an SD memory card (included in bundle as well of course).

So if you want to play hacked games, then you're going to have to take a chance on this website being legitimate. (I note that R4 adaptors also have other legitimate uses such as opensource style freeware, etc - but you can buy these in the UK anyway).

Also :-

"The Value Pack comes with a screen protector, a uk 220v power charger, a protector case for your Nintendo DS Lite for just 5 dollars more!" -

I've just cut/pasted the above from one of their DS bundles pages - why refer to 'DOLLARS' when everything else on the website is priced in POUNDS. Has this text been uplifted from another website perhaps?.

Besides, you can get a DS bundle with a UK charger and a 10p screen protector for about the same price of £100 from argos/gamestation/amazon, etc. They are not exactly THAT cheap to be worth the risk IMHO.

I have purchased 3 SuperCards DS ONEs from Gadget Asia without incident. I have found them friendly and efficient, although obviously postage takes a while being based in HK.

I would not hesitate in using them again.

Secondly - dont buy the games bundles solde there though - they simply take an R4 or SuperCard DS one and load it with games and charge you extra. Get an R4 or Supercard DS ONE seperately and the google for any content you want !!

I couldn't find any content. Could you please help me out? Which sites do you use or am I typing the wrong search. I would like games for my girls and also brain training games.

Donella, I've been flamed for this before but phanco is 100% suggesting that you download pirate games, he states "they simply take an R4 or SuperCard DS one and load it with games and charge you extra". Now lets be honest here, they dont load homebrew games, I've seen the offer, so lets not have any arguements that this is anything other than piracy!!. What you are asking for is COMPLETELY illegal and not something that should be asked here.

Sorry to dissapoint but if everyone follows this way of thinking do you really think that the games will keep coming out???? My suggestion, look on enay for some nice cheap bargains....

If you read my quote correctly, I was simply advising what gadget-asia were supplying, and indicating that there were alternatives. Both the R4 and SuperCard have many uses including MP3 playback, Video playback, homebrew applications (PDA etc). I am not condoning Piracy - I leave it up to the individuals conscience as to how they use the technology.
