    Just had a email from my solicitor and the other side have now confirmed that the probate is now in 😊

    OK so if its it not "available" maybe that means that probate isn't done?
    Maybe there's a sort of pending state eg "probate in progress" ? ?

    No there isn't any 'pending state'. The Gov website linked in my previous post shows the details of probate only once it has been granted. It can take up to 14 days after GOP before the website is updated. Once it appears on that website it is possible to buy a copy of Probate & will which is available to be downloaded within a couple of days of £1.50 payment being processed.

    @OP glad you've got confirmation. Hopefully your purchase can now go through smoothly.
