The letter arrived today re the maturity of Issue 18 on September 1st. I've always pitched the info about the EA Saver that comes with it, but at 0.75% I may keep it in mind.
This is the store Issue 18, for clarity!

is the EAS showing as one of your accounts on the Virgin Money website yet?
Like yours, my store issue 18 RS matured yesterday, but there's no sign of the EAS yet.
I know store-based accounts don't show online, but as the EA is not store-based (per the bumf accompanying the letter re maturity of the RS), I would expect it to be there by now.
Thought I'd ask you, in case it's just me, before I spend ages trying to phone them.

I intend to keep £1 in the EAS, just to keep it open in case I decide to use it, but to transfer all the rest of the maturity money to my NS&I Income Bond at 1.16%

I've never used any of the EAS accounts that seem to be created each time a RS matures and I still have half a dozen still lying dormant when I log in. The 18 was a store version (the last) and I'm not sure a related EAS account for maturing store RSs would show up online. Sorry I can't be of greater help.

    Thanks for your reply, Schiff.
Yes, I also have various empty EAS accounts, which have "read only" access.
According to the info sent about the EAS into which the maturing store-based RS 18 funds are to be transferred, money can be withdrawn online.
Ah well, looks like I'll have to join the queue on hold to phone them!  I live nearly 100 miles from the nearest branch, and there doesn't seem to be any way to contact them by email.

I think the poster just means they deposit £1 to give them the option of putting more money in in the future.
Bit like how some people will mark their place on a thread in an internet forum to receive future replies to that thread!
I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?

Sorry,Phil,  I should have said "obligation" as in an obligation on Virgin to accept funds to a particular account at a particular rate for a particular period - even though that account is no longer available to new customers.  In America the two words are synonyms.
I expected to be picked up on nihilist. ... :)

You don't need to phone. There is a form you can access and print on the website to send off with your maturity instructions.

Send it to Customer Operations, Virgin Money, Newcastle upon Tyne NE3 4PL with the passbook.

Err, not quite!  Just to reassure anyone who might be worried, Issue 19 of the store-based regular saver is still active and won't mature until 1st November 2020.
