You can get either 1.00% or 1.15% at NS&I and deposit up to a million pounds if you want and be covered.
I know it is not fixed."Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"0 -
Gosh, what nihilst opinions. A £1 marker offers you 1% fixed rate for over a year.

I'll pass, it's a lot of effort for at best £5-100

1% is too low for me. I am making monthly payments into my daughters 3.25% NS&I Junior ISA instead.0

If you don’t have the Principality BS Regular Saver 22 it is still on offer at 1.50% far better than Virgin"Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"0

This is the store Issue 18, for clarity!Schiff -is the EAS showing as one of your accounts on the Virgin Money website yet?Like yours, my store issue 18 RS matured yesterday, but there's no sign of the EAS yet.I know store-based accounts don't show online, but as the EA is not store-based (per the bumf accompanying the letter re maturity of the RS), I would expect it to be there by now.Thought I'd ask you, in case it's just me, before I spend ages trying to phone them.I intend to keep £1 in the EAS, just to keep it open in case I decide to use it, but to transfer all the rest of the maturity money to my NS&I Income Bond at 1.16%

I've never used any of the EAS accounts that seem to be created each time a RS matures and I still have half a dozen still lying dormant when I log in. The 18 was a store version (the last) and I'm not sure a related EAS account for maturing store RSs would show up online. Sorry I can't be of greater help.0
