Silly question, but if you just allow the Regular Saver Issue 17 to convert to an Easy Access Saver Reward Issue 27 account, can this accout be accessed online?

No, it has the same "rules" as the original account.  I asked the same question and then backed that up in store.  I sent my book off with a transfer form to my bank account.  Hopefully the funds will be there tomorrow as I was advised to put 2nd July to make sure the interest had been added or you can sort a transfer in store

I went into branch yesterday to mature my Virgin Reg saver I think issue 17 with my wife. My money came in to my bank within 2-3 hours, but my wive's money still hasn't come in. Anyone else had this experience and any ideas?

Yes, I've had that experience too.  Between my partner and I, we've had at least twenty of these VM branch-based accounts over the last few years.  With one exception, the maturity funds have been credited to our bank account by mid-afternoon on the day of closing the accounts in our local branch; the one exception delayed the transfer until the following day.  It's always a possibility that the delay was not the fault of VM but the receiving bank.

Hi, thanks for your response, so we both have the same receivig bank and withdrew from VM within like 20 mins of each other. This was yesterday, still hasn't arrived in her account

Anyone else still waiting on their funds from the Virgin Regular saver that matured 1st July? I’ve had a number of these mature over past 12months and the funds have always arrived on the maturity date into my account. I rang them just before COB yesterday (1st) and they said they were processing the instruction and I’d have the funds at latest COB today (2nd) and surprise surprise no money. Anyone else still awaiting their funds?

I went into a branch Yesterday for my maturing RS 17. They had a system problem and had to create the form by hand for my withdrawal instructions (to a current account). They said it would be in my account that day, or latest end of Today. It was there around 1800 Today.
    Retired 1st July 2021.
    This is not investment advice.
Your money may go "down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... I got all tricked up and came up to this thing, lookin' so fire hot, a twenty out of ten..."

When you both requested transfer of funds to your bank, did you request copies of the completed forms that you signed so that you could confirm that the bank account details are correct?  Filling-in the closure form is a manual process at my local branch so it's possible that the account details contain an error.  Sorry to worry you!  Or have the funds arrived today?
