Good luck with the sleep situation and getting your qualification sorted. As to September - I can't even think about that yet - things feel very fluid.

Thanks @ohdearhowdidthathappen & @savingholmes
DS2 will be 2 later this month, we are quite strict on naps too & he tends to go down at 1pm and up at 230.
Funnily enough we'd just been talking about reducing his nap to an hour to see if it helps although I still think he's enjoying the novelty of having a bit of freedom!
Having said that, we had a bit of success tonight - both boys were tired so went up to bed at 645. DS1 was out like a light immediately and DS2 was asleep by 730 👏👏 (he was on
the floor rather than in bed but I'll take that as a win regardless 🤣).
So DH and I have watched a film for the first time in a while and I'm looking forward to a comfortable nights sleep on the new mattress, small wins but feeling much less stressed this evening 😊3 -

Sleep is everything, got twice as much done at work today than yesterday so the mattress is definitely working it's magic 🙂
DS1 has been asleep for an hour, DS2 has finally given in around 5 minutes ago! Determined to preservere though while there's no school commitments.
I've been in the office 4 days this week as one of my teammates is on annual leave and the other is struggling with childcare. I've managed to get free parking twice but had to pay the other 2 days. I've decided to go back to basics and save the pennies that may have gone elsewhere so have moved 2 days parking costs (£8) to the savings account rather than frittering it elsewhere.
Last week's audit went well but we're still adjusting to working in a post Covid world and our contract's income is significantly down from where it usually is which is concerning, plus the fact we have more chiefs than Indians doesn't help 🙄
Hopefully we'll turn a corner this month as the early signs are promising but I'm definitely going to remain focus on building savings at the moment as I was the last member of staff to join this contract so stands to reason I'd be the first out if they look to reduce overheads..
Fallen off the healthy eating wagon today, taken advantage of A$da's pizza deal - 2 pizzas, 1 side & 4 bottles of Bud for £7 shared between us then followed up opening a bottle of wine, eek!!! Will walk lots tomorrow to try to offset the calories 😉
Keep on keeping on, taking one day at a time feels as good as it gets lately.
Anyway it's the weekend, here's hoping it's a good one for us all - stay safe & hydrated! Xx

Weigh in today - no loss this week but no gain either which is a result in itself as we've both indulged in BBQ food, snacks, alcohol and ice creams the last few days - closest thing to a holiday we're going to get but the 4 of us have had a lovely few days at home, mainly in the garden and paddling pool. Also took DS1 for a playground playdate with his best friend, they hadn't seen each other for months and we're so excited, they had such a good time and it was a joy to watch while us Mums had a coffee ☕
Have redeemed a £10 Amazon voucher from SnapMyEats today so transferred £10 across to the savings to offset this.
While sat in the glorious sunshine yesterday I had a look at toys and games in the Argos clearance sale, ended up ordering a few things to put away for Christmas gifts. Some to be delivered and some to collect from store later this week.
Got some real bargains and once I've got a good look at them all I'll happily return anything that doesn't meet expectations.
I've downloaded one of the Christmas gift tracker apps so I can keep track of what I've got (and where I'm hiding them).
Hope everyone else is well xx

My friend has used one for years so I've finally succumbed, my memory is like a sieve these days so the app looks like it will be useful for tracking who I need to buy for & what I've already got and where I've hidden it, first year I've had to think about hiding presents with DS1 being 4 - just need to try to remember I've got the app and actually need to update it when I buy something 😃4 -

Good start to the working week - slightly later start due to having an hour's Flexi, still managed to get free parking so transferred the £4 I would've spent to savings. As I had more spare time, I did a small click and collect order to pick up from Asda tomorrow, forwarded the e-receipt for this to HuYu and triggered a £5 Amazon voucher payout so another £5 transferred to savings to offset this.
Right, time to get on with some work! X3
