I really like @savingholmes idea and it makes perfect sense to do this when you have some downtime (like that ever happens ha!) But if you do it when you frustrated at work you will find literally any reason to put a negative on it purely because of how you are feeling. Is there not any one you can speak to at all or is it just a case of dealing with it until you decide to move on. I think sometimes i get to a stage where i get so frustrated at work of certain things i get into a rut and think i will just go in do my work and go. I really hope that things do improve its not nice going to an environment that we kinda have to and it be not nice.

Morning
Hope you have a better week this week, its awful as work effects everything we do, and as much as we try not to we do bring it home being unhappy at work has such an impact on life. I really hope things improve and you get the support that you all need from those who are in a position to be able to make changes.
Take care and sending a virtual hug your way.
Best wishes

Had a much better weekend, the sun has been out & we cancelled all our plans so that we could just spend some time together. Have eaten well, caught up on rest and spent time in the garden with the boys. Simple but therapeutic. Both boys having a nap so just checking in on here.
Once they boys go to bed tonight I'm giving myself some time to follow @savingholmes advice and writing down what I want/need from a job, I think this will help give me some clarity of thought for new opportunities.
I'm also going to schedule a couple of meetings this week, 1 with my team mates and another with my manager to try again to find a way to make the job work. Then at least I can say I've tried, regardless of the outcome.
Talking about work led to DH and I talking about money (again) and we have decided to take some money from our EF to give to Mum. This takes what we owe her down to £2750. We will then transfer £250 per month to her, which will see our debt to her repaid in 11 months.
Although Mum isn't concerned about being paid back, it constantly niggles at us that we owe her so much money and we both feel better having taken action on this. The credit card is coming down nicely and our credit scores are good so even if we haven't cleared the balance by the time the 0% deal runs out next April, we're confident we should secure another balance transfer if needed.
Hope everyone is having a good weekend x

Sounds like a great plan. I hate owing money to family. Hope the conversations at work go better than you hope. .Do power poses (in private) for at least 5 minutes before you go in and visualise yourself getting your desired outcome. Thank you @savingholmes @SSDD23 & @nomorecredit 😘
Well how much has changed in the world since I was last here?
The meeting at work went reasonably well and with the restrictions in place at the moment my team are in a position to actually clear our backlog so in a roundabout way I got what I hoped for.
As with many others it's a worrying time for job prospects for both DH & I but for now we are counting our blessings that we both do have the option to work from home & so far we've all been in good health, which is a godsend as both our Mums are in their 70's therefore applying social distancing rules at the moment (both fit & well and can't beat the thought of isolating just yet).
So life has just been busy making sure the vulnerable members of my family are all okay with supplies (getting harder to get the basics each day where I live ☹️) and getting ready to work from home for a longer period of time.
So after all my recent moans and unhappiness I'm pulling my big girl pants on and focusing on getting myself and my nearest and dearest through this awful situation.
I've definitely had a big 'count my blessings' lightbulb moment.
Sending love & very best wishes to all who visit here, the poem below is one I've been reading to the boys - thought it would be a good one to share here xx5 -
