Early start today, DS2 thought 515 was a good time to wake up 😏 so we've been snuggled up on the sofa watching kids programmes & catching up on here. Will get on and do a few bits soon though, looks like today will be a stay at home day as the storm has really hit hard last night where we live.
Looking forward to the eBay auctions ending today, 3 items have decent bids on them at the moment & 2 have watchers.
Not a lot of spending in the last week as work was busy again for both of us. Got a grocery shop delivered Thursday night to see us through to next weekend.
Took my Mum shopping Friday & only spent £13 myself on a light lunch for us both.
Fakeaway Friday night was delicious, as was the wine
We had a fairly chilled day at home yesterday as DH had a gig last night. I had a lovely evening to myself once the boys went to bed. Had a long soak in the bath & a catch up on a book I started weeks ago, was nice to have bit of calm and quiet after such a busy week.
Hope everyone else is well x3 -
Some of the SW recipes are fab. Glad you got time to yourself. Eek to your early startAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

The SW recipes are really good, I have stacks of them saved online. It's about the only healthy thing I've done this weekend though, I have reached for the junk food more than I'd like so have tried to be a bit more healthy this evening, lots of veg with our evening meal and lots of water as I'm feeling really sluggish. The early start hasn't helped so I'm planning on an early night.
As planned, we stayed at home today so had a nice combination of playing games with the boys, watching a couple of films and getting prepared for the week ahead.
I've also been reviewing finances (again). Although I started this diary in June 2019, our debt peaked in June 2018 at £18,565
Having checked figures today I realised if we paid another £69 towards the debt we'll have cleared 50% of that total. As much as I'm desperate to just send that money from our current account immediately
, I'm going to be patient and wait for the Ebay sales to end later and continue to TT our account throughout the month but I can't wait to hit that mini goal, it feels like such a milestone and considering I was just about to start maternity leave at the point the debt peaked and I was so worried and anxious about the debt levels and pending reduced income it really feels like we've come a long way. I definitely feel the hangover of that stress as since being on improved wages with my new job, both debt repayment and savings have definitely increased and it's having such a positive impact, every little payment makes a difference.
As a side note to this, if I include our mortgage figures with the debt total, we have actually cleared £10,000 of debt since June 2018!!! DH nearly collapsed when I informed him of this earlier

That is fab. Shows what can be done with focus and effort. Sensible not to rush to overpay and instead make sure you have the money first.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks Beanie & Saving
Ebay money in and first cash out from PA in a while means the debt total is now £9282 so that's 50% of the super big total cleared!!!
Back to the task in hand, £9282 to go...
