SSDD23, our oven racks fit in the bath, but if they don't fit in yours a bin bag with the gloop on the shelves if you use that kind of stuff might do the trick.
Brilliant news about the jobshare Frodders! So glad it worked out for both of you.
Glad to see you back, Jojo.

Layla's been to see a cardiologist following her fainting spell and the dignosis of a heart murmur and heartbeat, the report should be back next week. Initially it seemed very serious (I was told to carry her upstairs because over-exertion could be fatal) but it now seems there's not much to worry about. *Phew* She had her first bath yesterday, wagged her tail throughout being washed and blow dried apparently. She certainly smells a lot better!

The house looks just about okay, and the lovely group of guests we've got right now are fun and interesting, and help in the kitchen, loading and unloading the DW, and have cooked a meal for us as well. And they'll pay me lots when they go, too. I like doing this! Both letting rooms and the shower room will need turning around immediately afterwards so I'm keeping the rest of the house under control so I don't have to do it all at once.

70 bulbs planted yesterday, 18 small plants and 20 bigger plants all spaced out around the sundeck, in pots up the walls, and around the base of well established climbing plants. I'd been meaning to do that for 10 days. I only lost one titchy plant, too, procrastinating.

The vile smell is back in OH's 'wine cellar' which is a drag, so I'll have to haul all of that out again and rebleach it a few times. That can wait until I've cleared the paperwork in my office, which has been mounting up again. Must do tax return ....
    Better is good enough.

I did debate using the bath as it's big enough but I fancied a bath so just whacked them in the dishwasher to get the worst off, will give em a go in the bath next time :D

Bedding changed and washed. A cs bag half filled so I will prowl around to fill that before DH drops it off next week. HHI done to clear the pile. Dinner cooked. Kitchen tidied.
I need to write a list for tomorrow as I’ve promised DD I will go to the shops for some things for her. I am not going to be distracted into doing any food shopping until there is a gap in the freezer and the cupboards stop disgorging (is that a word??) their contents on my head.
  • Morning all,

I woke up just after 3 and kept tossing and turning, so I gave up and I'm downstairs now with a cuppa. Lots of little things niggling away at me, a lot of which is money related, so I've done a full income/expenditure summary in my notebook and we are going to keep a spending diary for June. I successfully halved our Sky bill yesterday :T

Plans for today include take the children to an event at the library, meet a friend for lunch, nip to the shops for a few bits of food, and I MUST list at least three things on eBay.

    Have lovely days all x

    Morning all

We had a lovely day yesterday despite the rain! Typically it looks like it is going to be nice today... oh well

    Plan for today.

WM x 2, first load swishing now
    S/S kitchen
Paid stuff likely to be busy after day off yesterday
Level one at least of bathroom and en suite
Bedroom looking ok, I always change the bed on a Saturday so will leave that. All clothes are away so might just nip in there and flutter around with a duster....

Breakfast first though... have a lovely day all.

    Morning all

I was awake at normal work time this morning so I got up when DH left, made a cuppa and took it back to bed with my book.
I’ve written a list for shopping and will go there as they open. HHI should fill that gap nicely, then it will be the bedroom list later. Might even clean the windows. Although the last time that I did that, the blind came off the wall and collapsed on my head
    Have a lovely day everyone.

    Back again.
Shopping done. Some plants jumped in the trolley that were not on the list.
Bedroom and en-suite have been dusted and vacuumed. I’ve excelled myself and not only cleaned the windows (filthy) but cleaned the Venetian blind (even filthier). I drew the line at the en-suite blind. Bath mats are in the wm. It’s blowing a gale outside so with enough pegs they should get dry when they are done.
