Beware of Dating Agencies

Sadly a lot of women and men don't take care of themselves as they get older and if the other party still has his/her looks and keeps him/herself fit and can attract younger members of the opposite sex they will.
Suppose a bit like owning a car , most guys want a newer model with nicer headlamps and a well sprung seat
It's nature taking it's course.
When you're 20 as a woman, biologically that's your 'best age.
For a man it's closer to 30/35.1 -

I agree plenty of women hunting younger guys and if you are fit and active as I said why wouldn't you look for someone pleasing to the eye who makes you feel young again , way of the world and men are visual creatures.
Back on topic sadly if you are physically unattractive, hugely overweight or lack personality, social skills or humour, paying 3k isn't going to improve your chances be you a man or a woman.0 -

Problem is they don't match people by their membership tier as not enough guys so a Gold female member who pays 3k gets loads of Silvers or even Bronze guys, you get professional city ladies ending up with Old McDonald who joined on a special offer
That doesn't seem a problem to me - only being introduced to the few other people who have also joined the same agency seems more of an issue. If I paid stupid money for introductions I would want plausible people found, whether they had paid or not.But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.

Maybe not a problem for you but the feedback from many of the ladies was "why am I paying 3k for a PA to select professional attractive men ( as promised and as featured in the glossy brochures) and getting overweight elderly men with comb overs who are only Bronze or Silver members"
Plausible is easier said than done , you have to factor in how far you are willing to travel and then all your preferences ie if a smoker, if over 6'00 if wants kids/has kids etc etc. If they had a large pool of members in an equal male/female ratio they could meet that demand.
It was apparent at the meals that the ladies seemed to have been given the same guys as intros , in fact you were just as likely to meet the same girls / guys at the bigger social events , so one may as well have just paid for social membership.
For these companies to survive in this age of free internet dating they have to try and get as much money up front as they can , if you read their T&C's all they guarantee in the way of introductions is usually one a month , they will try and match you as best they can , but as I said both agencies I joined had a limited amount of guys who did the intro's and a lot of professional women with high expectations who tended to sign up for the premium packages.0 -
Anyone with an ounce of common sense would not pay this money.
Single people sometimes get a very bad press but surely it’s just common sense that this is something to avoid. I’m not sure we need a warning to tell us?2017- 5 credit cards plus loan

Having dipped in and out of these agencies between relationships and having seen the number of ladies and the few men who have signed up to the silly money packages, common sense seems to go out of the window.
Believe me 3k is nothing compared to what some elite agencies charge. I don't like using these words , as most who join are decent people , but I also suppose it depends how desperate one is and how gullible you are at point of sale.
I put my experience out there so it might open the eyes of some who are thinking of joining. As I have said if you are going to sign up , go for the social package , avoid the premium packages that promise the earth at all costs.0 -

No please tell me , I have never been of that mindset or paid a premium to meet any one , I am just saying what some of the membership who have shelled out experience.
However you can't blame someone who has paid a premium to have a PA (to hand select people who meet their criteria, be them a guy or a gal) , and who has driven miles, only to find that the person selected does not a match any of their criteria, to not feel rather miffed !!
A bit like if you have paid a PA a premium to source a top theatre ticket only to find yourself stuck behind a pillar:D
Ps ...I apologise if your name is McDonald , you are a farmer or are old0 -
To state the obvious - it’s not the service which is the problem, but the pricing.
Lots of companies charge big money for crap. It’s up to you to decide where you spend your money and obviously £3K on a dating agency is stupid.
You sound like you expect them to magic up amazing single people out of a magic lamp?2017- 5 credit cards plus loan
