Another payout from PA today so I now only have £2.30 to find to complete the £53 challenge.

I quite enjoyed the seminar today and lunch was decent.

SSD of £3.60 on butter and milk. I walked past everything else that was calling to me so I'm quite pleased with that.

Tomorrow is half way through the month and I'm going into the second half with £80 left in the grocery budget. It is doable if I'm careful.

Thank you :) I am quite pleased. Just shows what I can do when I'm on it and paying attention.

I've got a splitting headache today. It's just come on from nowhere. Heading home right now so going to have something to eat then I might have a nap. Not even going to attempt Morrisons for stuff that I can get another day. Therefore, it will be a NSD.

Just going to quickly catch up on other diaries then rest my eyes for a bit.

Had a lovely day out with my Mum on Saturday. Headache was away by lunchtime. Was a wee bit spendy, I bought the coffees, but Mum covered most of lunch, I just made a token payment because I insisted on paying a bit. Sunday I was out with my cousin for afternoon tea which was lovely, again a wee bit spendy but could have been worse.

My sister and I have emptied our joint Christmas savings account ready for shopping. I know I have a fair bit saved but it never feels like enough.

Going to catch up with other diaries then I should finally arrive at work (usual big city roadworks hold up).

Sorry you've been having doubts about your purpose. I think it is natural as our children grow less dependent on us for us to re-evaluate our lives and decide what's next. I'm going through that too and its been 18 months so far LOL.

Thank you so much for this comment. You've actually hit the nail on the head. I never thought about that before. I've just thought that through and that is part of the problem. It's just been LMG and me for so long and now she doesn't really need me anymore. Well, she does but not to the same extent. When I get to cook for us and even for the boyfriends too I feel like I'm doing something useful but when it's just me I feel a bit lost. I'm going to explore that a bit longer in my head and see if I can work something out from there. Thank you for saying something that seems kind of obvious to me now. Thinking of you too xx

It's so cold this morning. My bed was so cozy I did not want to get out. Hat on today and 5 layers so it must be bad.

NSD managed yesterday. Not today though as I'm making the family Christmas cake this year and have to get the rest of the ingredients later, together with other food to keep us alive this month ;)

I'm off tomorrow so cosy day in baking cake and drinking coffee :)

Total of £29 spent today; £24 on groceries and £5 for the rest of the ingredients for the cake.

£56 left in the grocery budget. I'll leave £20 for LMG when I'm away next weekend (budgeted for), I have meals for tomorrow and Thursday (and more if it's just me to feed) so roughly 4 days to cater for on £36 before payday.

Tomorrow I'm making slow cooker pulled pork, Christmas cake and macaroni cheese (in that order). I'll be done in by lunchtime haha.
