A good wee boost for you too, to know you’re nearly half way there!
That is just excellent :j :j
Thank you both
No money saved today but had a lovely afternoon out with mum, sis and neicypie. Mum paid for the coffees and the only money I spent was on a Christmas gift for an elderly Aunt. That means I have officially started Christmas shopping. It will come out of the Christmas fund (I save every month for Christmas) so no spends from groceries or slush fund.
Going to have a quick catch up with other diaries then I'll make the muffins and when they are in the oven I'll make my tea. LMG is working until 8pm then we're going to spend the rest of the evening togetherMortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

Bit of a spendy day yesterday, approximately £19 in total but we only really need food now for the rest of the month, plenty of deodorant, etc.
I've PADded £2 from the slush fund to the holding account towards the £53. I now have enough to pay my membership and I have £2.87 towards the £30 overpayment.Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

Thank you. I try to think of it as unfortunate things that happen because I know there are people who are less fortunate than I am. Boyfriend and I are going to Newcastle at the end of this month for our annual Christmas shopping trip and we're both really looking forward to it. We are not having holidays at the moment so this is our take on a holiday together. It's so much fun. I got a small work bonus a few months back and I stuck it in the emergency fund account for safekeeping so I used a bit of that for my share of the hotel
I've realised that I will manage the £30 overpayment to the loan this month. Maybe even a bit more. It feels a bit cheaty but there isn't really much I can do about the feeling. When LMG moved from weekly to monthly pay we changed her digs from weekly to monthly. The way it worked out was that I had to wait 3 weeks for digs (she had to wait 3 weeks for wages) and because her digs are part of my budget it was a really tight time. After that she paid me monthly which was fine. Now she has gone back to weekly pay so she gave me the last monthly one last Friday and the first weekly one is due this Friday. That means I'll have enough with a wee bit extra.
My plan is to put whatever spare I have in the holding account without leaving myself short elsewhere and seeing how much there is around 22nd. I'll make a decision based on what there is and make an overpayment from that.
Are my fortunes changing for the better? Hope so.Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

Really busy day at work today. Luckily I've just been approved for flexi time so I'll get the hours back. By the end of my day tomorrow I will have made up a day's hours this week (my contract is 4 hours a day at the moment).
Took a pair of leggings back today so got the cash back for them.
I paid for the coffee on date with boyfriend tonight and he has said he'll treat us to Chinese tomorrow
Cash grocery budget has £111, Asda card has £28 so £139 left in grocery budget. I need to do a food shop at some point but I might wait until Sunday. I took the last two muffins out of the freezer earlier ready for tomorrow, they've done me proud this week.Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

I'm still working on the £53 challenge, just to see if I can manage it. I have £5.87 from PADding (from slush fund) so £24.13 to get.
I'm up to £4.85 on PA with 58p pending but it has been for over a week now so hoping to pick up another survey or two to get the pay out.
I have £9.71 from CMS (hmmm, new rate doesn't appear to have kicked in then) which I'm toying with putting towards it. The loan was taken out (because I had no emergency fund) due to a safety issue which affected and now benefits LMG as well as me but I feel wrong when I don't spend CMS money directly on something for her (normally food). I'll think about it a bit longer. I'm still thinking about giving it to her directly but the pull to pay off the loan sooner rather than later is strong.Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

I vote to put the CMS money to the loan.
The sooner it is gone the better.

It's done. I only needed one other vote in favour to support my thinking so thank you
I have just completed a PA survey so hopefully I've answered acceptably and can cash out soon. If so it will be £5.70. Add that to £16.58 and I'll have £22.28. Just £7.72 to find for the £53 challenge. In the meantime (whilst I'm trying to gather the £7.72) I will use part of LMG's digs from today and get £30 paid off the loan. As beanielou said, the sooner it is gone the better and if I pay it now that should save a little bit in interest too.
