    NSD :D and payday :j

I went to visit my cousin today. What an adorable little baby boy she has. She was delighted with the gift. There is a little bit of a story but her reaction was exactly what I hoped for :)

All pots topped up. I'm waiting for LMG's digs tomorrow and that will be me for the month. I've transferred over the money for the erroneous tickets and that leaves £17 which I've stuck in the holding account for now.

I've got a membership fee of £40 to pay (for a qualification so a necessity) by the end of the month. I really want to pay an extra £30 to the loan this month as if I do then when December's payment is made it will take me under the £6k mark and into the £5ks. This means I need to find £53 that isn't in my budget. I have money in the emergency fund which I can use if necessary but I don't want to. It's not strictly an emergency but the membership fee must be paid and it will be good for my mental health to get into the next £thousand.

My November self-challenge is to find £53.

    Getting there :)

This morning I woke up early and couldn't get back to sleep so I've showered and I'm just using up some time before I go to work. The interest payment was added to my mortgage so I've sent across £13.69 to bring the balance down by another £10. I always allow £20 in my budget so I've transferred the £6.31 to the holding account.

November find £53 challenge: £46.69 to find.

    Great start to your challenge.

    Happy November to you too.
The day got better challenge-wise. If you can be remotely bothered then read more of my drivel below.

Went to Morries for a couple of bits. I need to eat a bit healthier so I'm going to make the spinach and feta muffins again. £21 spent but I got useful bits.

Just had spinach and blue cheese risotto for tea. It was lush! Had a craving for it but I prefer to make it for more than one person. LMG is back working shifts again and I just couldn't wait any more days so made it just for me and I'm so glad I did.

I'm finishing 1st November with £23.87 out of £53! Did it like this:
£6.31 from balance of mortgage payment
£4.42 from LMG which was a partial amount for a ticket I bought her (one of the erroneous tickets, I've already covered it)
£5 from payment boyfriend sent me for a hotel we've booked for later this month. He sent me £2.25 too much and told me to keep it. He had rounded up to the nearest £5 so I put that in
    £5.29 payout from PA
£2 bank reward payment (technically not got it yet but I've transferred it in anticipation. It will arrive shortly)
85p which I had transferred in with the original £17 but didn't count it.

That's not bad for a day. £29.13 to find before the end of November (preferably a few days before so that I can do transfers before the end of the month). Can't see it being as easy as today but I'm nearly half way there.
    Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000
    Mortgage today = £161,690.76
    300 271 payments to go.

  • That’s a super impressive start to the month :D A good wee boost for you too, to know you’re nearly half way there!
