Thank youI pay everything on my credit card (for points) and then transfer the money from the relevant budget to an account for cc payments so that I have the funds available when the bill comes in. I always round it up to the nearest £1 which means there's a few pounds left once the payments are out. Quick calculation today suggests that I'll have around £9 (so far) once cc's are paid this month so will have completed the £53 challenge
(will be about 25th/26th November).

Yes! I paid over the £30 once the PA payment cleared and I amended my signature. Normal monthly payment is £133.84 on 1st of month so I'll be in the £5k's at 1st December :j
Mum treated us to lunch yesterday which was lovely so I had no slush fund spends.
"Quick" grocery trip cost £30. I got 6 large portions of veggie lasagne from that, three we ate last night (LMG, my boyfriend and me) and three portions for the freezer. We have enough cheese to sink a ship. I've got some ingredients for two or three other meals. I'm mainly only feeding me anyway and I can rustle up odds and ends. £104 left in the grocery budget (Asda card is wiped). Not quite half way through the month yet but almost half way through the budget
Off to see my folks and have tea later so no spends required today.Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

Heading to the supermarket again today. I'm feeding the three of us again tonight (boyfriend takes his turn so I'm not complaining) and I don't have enough of one meal ingredients to feed three. Making sweet and sour chicken but I've never made it before so hoping it will be nice. I found a Jamie Oliver recipe in one of my books so going with that.
No other financial news.
No other news. Oh, unless you count me being 6.5 hours up with my flexi at work after a week and a day. Just goes to show what I've given them over the past 15 months!Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

I'm not making sweet and sour chicken, I'm making sweet and sour vegetables. LMG is vegetarian, she would not be impressed if I served her chicken. No idea what was going through my head when I typed that!Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

The S&S was actually very nice. I worked out costings and it was £1 per person. No leftovers. My piece of ginger cost 2p (I paid 2p, didn't try to work that one out). Couldn't eat at that cost every day on my budget but at least it was a healthy meal.
I woke up this morning wondering what the point is. I do the same thing every day, get up, get ready, go to work, go home. I don't feel like there is a purpose at the moment. Think I need a couple of early nights.Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

Yes, weeks. Although some days are just worse than others.Sayschezza wrote: »And believe me it's not exactly jet setting then either. Hugs to all.
Thank you all. Today is a wee bit better, I was in bed and asleep for 10pm last night and I'm sure that's helped. Still wondering the point but not as bad. Thank you, Sayschezza, for delurking. I know you read along.
NSD yesterday and planning another today. Going to boyfriend's for tea so unless he asks me to get something then it will all be good.
Tomorrow I have a seminar for work which is an all day thing. Lunch is provided so that's good. I might ask LMG if she wants the left over lasagne from Saturday that I froze. If we have that I won't need to worry about tea until Friday so hopefully no spends until then either.
