Oh dear. That’s not good.
Please take care.
It is so unfair of your neighbours to not to take a turn.
I would be tempted to leave in & see what happens.

I'm aching all over today but I'm proud of what I managed. Boyfriend has offered to help me with the rest after work today so it will get finished and we can dump the grass cuttings too.
I used to do the whole thing myself (with help from my Dad) and did do for the first 3 years that I lived here. It annoyed me but no one else bothered. Then I had a relapse of illness and I couldn't do it so I left it. No one did it for about 4 years then the guy downstairs decided to give it a bash. He did it about 4-5 times then I managed another twice. I had another relapse so couldn't manage again so I paid a gardener and then the guy downstairs moved away. No one had touched it for about 3 years and it was like a forest. Then one day (about 6 weeks ago) the woman who owns the flat downstairs (rents it out) popped round to inspect the flat and saw the state of the garden. She organised and paid for a gardener and said she was happy to chip in for grass cutting going forward. I could never have afforded to pay a gardener to do what has just been done and I am so grateful to her for doing that.
If I don't do it, no one will and I'm pretty sure we'll struggle to get the money out of the other flats to pay someone. The ground flat on my side had just sold so I'm hoping to get in quick with the next occupiers and that way "our side" can either take turns or chip in.

Spent £15 in Morries. The biggest expense there was black bin bags. I hardly ever use black bags and I can't remember the last time I bought them so I didn't know what they would cost. Good grief! £2.50 for a roll of ten!?! I think that's expensive.
The rest of the stuff was top up stuff and a wee bit of medical stuff.
£50 left in the grocery budget to last until the end of the month.Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

Great idea!
Today was by no means a NSD as I had to pay for the car service. Managed to avoid their sales tactics by popping to my local garage (been going there for as long as I've lived here, I can see it from my livingroom window and I can hear them shouting at each other when my window is open :rotfl: I trust them completely) to check if I really did need the suggested work done. I was told to tell them to do one. So I did!
Paid from the Yearly Payments budget which is now looking very sad. Next big payment due from there is November (road tax) so I'll have enough by then (£105 per month goes in there, got £71 left after today).
Out for lunch with my family today and I had a really lovely time (Dad paid, he insisted) I really appreciate that I have them. Even LMG was off today so we were all together.
I'm just about to have brie and pate on toast for tea since I had a meal at lunchtime. I had it yesterday for lunch and it was lovely.Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

Thank you for popping in savingholmes  I'm in the running for "Most Boring Diary" on here so it's always nice to see a new face
NSD today.
My sis treated me to lunch. It was a restaurant in town local to my work so it was perfect. We went for a quick look in the shops afterwards, before she had to pick Peachy up from nursery. I'm not a shopper, I find it really boring, I end up just following people around (the people I'm with, not randoms), but my sis loves it (even though she moans about being skint all the time). She tried on a swimsuit and hated it on herself so that put her out the shopping mood.
I had a meeting with my big boss today. She has told me they are happy to financially support me with studies so I can go and look for the course I want to do. I work in finance and the next course I want to do is a biggie so this is really good news for me. We also discussed me upping my hours a little which is also good (money-wise). I told her I don't think I'm ready for 9-5 Mon-Fri yet but a few extra hours benefits me and the business. That's all very exciting. It's also all a big commitment from me and from them so I have to be sure I'm ready. She has asked me to research what I want to do and go back to her with a proposal. She will then take it to the Exec team and they will make a decision.
I'm off to bed shortly as I'm really sleepy tonight.Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000
