It's been a brilliant weekend. Spendy though
I have transferred the money from the different pots to the cc account and the pots are now looking quite low, apart from the cc one which is delighted with itself. We're only one week into the month as well
I'll need to tighten the purse strings a bit for the rest of the month.

(Also, now I have to make kale pesto, and those muffins...)
The kale pesto is fab but I didn't actually make it. The kale was YS when I bought it and I should have used it on the day but I waited a couple of days (purely because I was being lazy) and it went off. I walked into the flat yesterday after being out all day and there was a weird smell. I eventually traced it to the kale. Should have put it in the fridge, rookie mistake.
It's the four of us for tea tomorrow night and I'll have to go to the supermarket but I know what I'm getting so I'll be careful.Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

Spent £17 in Morries but I only got one meal
The only extras I picked up were tomatoes, cottage cheese and 3 tins of sweetcorn (was a 4 pack on offer for £2. We eat loads of sweetcorn so we'll get through it but only actually needed one tin for tea tonight). Actually, now I think about it, a third of the cost was cheese
we won't eat all of that tonight so at least we have a supply.
A friend passed away, back in December. It would have been his birthday today so I've been thinking about him all morning. He was a mutual friend of Boyfriend and I which is nice because we can remember him together.

Had to go back to Morries today as I needed a mozzarella ball and wanted some chocolate. I had £1.85 in my purse in cash so I just took that and left the card at home. Good plan (apart from the YS bread which I couldn't afford because I wanted the chocolate more). I was rewarded at the self-serve checkout for my self-control (financial, not treat, obviously) with an extra 5p in my change. I'm unsure if the guy in front of me left it or if it popped out at the same time as the actual 5p change but it's 5p extra in my pocket, or at least in my challenge pot.
Had my hair done today which is always budgeted for.
LMG made the tea! *faints*

NSD so far today and I think it will remain that way. It's the first since Friday.
For lunch today I'm having leftover pasta from last night and leftover cheesy veg from Monday night. They were both small portions so together they make a nice large portion. Lunchtime dessert is a Topic (my chocolate of choice yesterday - 4 for £1 and I ate two last nightIn my defence though they're tiny!)
For tea tonight I'm off to Boyfriend's. He picked up steak pies from a butcher near where he was working yesterday and we'll have that with potatoes and some veg. He's doing it, so I can be a Princess tonight
Boyfriend's mate at work makes soup quite regularly but he puts coriander in it. I don't like coriander so I never have it. He made some without coriander especially for me and even made it veggie so that LMG can have some too. What a sweetheart. I've got that in my freezer, keeping it there for the last week of the month for lunches with bread, in case I'm feeling the pinch before payday. There's a good 3 portions' worth, maybe even 4. Boyfriend (not to be outdone) made a scotch broth style vegetable soup. It's actually really good. He gave me a tub which I know I can get two portions out of (it's very filling) and top up with bread. I love free food

Another NSD so far today and I'm not planning on leaving the house again now until tomorrow.
No idea what to have for tea. I've got plenty of cheese from my overestimation on Monday so it will likely be something with that in it. Just me for tea so I can make up any random concoction of stuff in the cupboards.
I've been having loads of late nights recently and I'm absolutely shattered. Totally my own fault but I really need to get a grip, hopefully starting tonight!Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

Still didn't make it to bed at a reasonable time last night. I really need to give myself a good shake. I suffer with fatigue and this really isn't helping with that.
Good news at work today, we are being allowed flexi time. I already do more than my contracted hours due to having so much work to do but I get no remuneration for that. This way I will get some time back which is great. Wish it could have started today though since I worked an extra hour and a half (although some of that was in the Union meeting discussing the flexi!). Not sure when it is going to start but hopefully soon.
I had £17 in an old account so I've moved that into the challenge account.
LMG will be in for tea and it's just the two of us. I've got two ageing half peppers and a couple of spring onions in the bottom of the fridge. I'll add sweetcorn, cooked pasta and some mayo and that will be tea. We had that a week or so ago and it was good.
Need to put a wash on so I'm procrastinating on here firstMortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000
