I've also done the living room, which was a total tip, after DD had friend overnight, and the boys also had every game/console etc out...and I shall be working tomorrow, as long as it stays dry.
I haven't had a chance to get on here since Friday, so have just caught up over a coffee. I hope all the sickly ones are feeling better!
sexymouse - it won't matter which class of school you are at, you'll probably catch every bug going round for a while until you build up your immunity to all the germs in school! You could try echinacea, which is supposed to be helpful - please don't take this as advice, and check it out with the pharmacist first!
Off to buy bread and milk now, and then wait and see what I feel like this afternoon. I'm not going over to the hospital today, as I hardly slept last night, no idea why not, although it was very windy and noisy, so I don't feel I'm really safe to drive on the motorway. I may do some more knitting - DD chose some lovely wool on Saturday to make up a bolero, and I've already finished the back!
Huge big welcome to all the newbies - we're growing apace here! Take it easy at first, don't try to 'catch-up', as the rooms all come round again. And remember that it didn't take one day for the house to get in that state, so you can't expect to fix it in one day!! (all words that I was told when I joined, and that I regularly chant when feeling discouraged!)
Ooh, forgot the good news - I have finally lost all patience with the state of the cloakroom (minus flooring for 4 1/2 years, as water coming up under floor when it rains, and a sink unit that is rotting), and after sweetly but firmly mentioning it on Saturday, OH said I could make a start on getting it sorted - that is, completely refitted! I shall be getting quotes and ideas fast before he changes his mind!
Have a good day everyone. It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
Dalies done
Online banking all done
Sorted 2 more drawers in family room.
Dilema now - do I continue with family room or start the kitchen? Kitchen not too bad as done thoroughly last week - family room not been done in ages?
I'll have my lunch whilst you lot vote. This poll will close at 13:30 - after that time your vote will not be counted but I'll thank you anyhowThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Whoah!! How many posts already?!!:rotfl:
:hello: Afternoon everyone.
I didn't realise you posted the list the night before - what a brilliant idea - that means I might be able to sneak a few jobs in before work.
Today I'm just going to do Level 1 and vacuum the kitchen and dining room floors and mop the kitchen as I've got quite a lot on tonight. However that's WAY more housework than I'd usually do on a Monday evening!
Dailies - I swished and swiped bathroom at 6am, and will put a load of washing in when I get in tonight.
Extras - I'll put fold up DD's futon, and help her unpack her bags so her room looks a bit more habitable.
Need to do an internet shop
Had an offer accepted on a house today :j , so need to re-read Martin's mortgage document and 'phone for a quote, and also complete the paperwork for the solicitor.
Have a lovely day everyone - I got soggy on the way to work this morning, but the sun is trying to peek out now - hope it reaches everyone today.
rumbly x0 -
Hubby did the dishes last night so he could play his new xbox360 game, which was a good job as DS2 was ill last night. Had to call doctor out as he was sick all over his bed (sheets still bundled up in the bath), then he was coughing non stop, shivering and his temp was 35'c with both thermometers! Then just before doctor arrived, was sick again all over the couch and towels he was wrapped up in and felt lots better. Doc gave him an antibiotic as 'it's been long enough and it might help, then again, it may not cos we don't know whats the matter with him'. Next time I'm just going to A&E and play the Distraught Mother and maybe they will find out what's wrong!
need to do...
Post office
Ironing (underlined for effect)
Move Christmas stuff from kitchen
clean back of car (did the front seats while waiting at the chippy)
But first, :coffee: and cheese'n'ham toasties!0
