  • *waves* I'm in this week. I need to stick with it though, the house is still a mess, but atleast now it's just my mess, all the ex's stuff has gone. I need to start getting a little more organised with my time and fiances now that I have a huge mortgage to pay and as I need to fit in some studying too.

Manic Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room/Area
    Level One
    Clean floors in these areas
    Level Two
    Wipe down surfaces
Wipe kitchen cupboard fronts and kickboards
Wipe down fronts of major appliances (cooker, firdge, freezer etc)
    Level Three

Dust any extra furniture in dining area, checking for cobwebs on way round
Wipe & replace small appliances.. kettle, toaster etc (wipe under too, especially the toaster!)
    Clean washer drawer, dishwasher
Clean the oven if you missed it last week or it needs it

Extra tasks if you want to do more
    • Wipe window sills and clean windows in these rooms
    • Wipe down any tiles and shine those taps.. a toothbrush is great for cleaning away the gunk
    Plus:
    30 minutes of studying
    [strike]Weigh and mite treat rats[/strike]
    Check bank balance
1 day of 31 days to fix your fiances
Clear 5 things from the junk in the dining room

Well that is the most organised i have felt in a good while, so lets see if writing it down actually helps me get in there and get on. Off to work out what i can do instead of the lesson that is in the scheme for tomorrow. I am supposed to be teaching about different soil types, and i honestly don't know why it is there as i have never taught about that before. I think some stuff on the rock cycle instead. Good job i am checking tonight and not having a day on the hoof tomorrow.

Have a great week everyone, and remember to stay positive and the we will survive another week of domestic drudge. ;)

  • A very nervous newbie here wondering if I dare even peep hello :embarasse! I work part time, I’ve got a very demanding littlun, I don’t have much energy at the best of times and I’m pregnant, so housework tends to not even get said in our house, never mind done! Hubby does his bit, he does the DW every evening and hoovers the living room a couple of times a week. I keep on top of the washing and I iron on-demand, oh and at least ds’s room is tidy :). I’ve managed to clean the bathroom this week, put my floordrobe away (great word I picked up from lil_me last week!) and hoovered upstairs as much as possible. And that, my friends, is about the sum of it. Can’t remember the last time I picked up a duster or cleaned a window…

We’ve got loads of clutter in our house which puts me off even trying to clean… It’s mostly stuff that doesn’t have a home so everything I pick up is a problem that takes loads of emotional energy to solve . But with the baby due end March, I really want to sort it out. With a newborn I might be able to persuade MIL to do a bit of cleaning for us :D, but I couldn’t expect her to work around all the cr*p so I guess that’s another incentive to pull my finger out!!

Anyway, now you know where I’m at. If I even get the Level 1’s done this week, I’ll be well chuffed!! The kitchen floor has fantastic lino that doesn’t let on how long it is since it was cleaned but it’s currently my greatest housework niggle ; I know I gotta do it SOON, so you can imagine the ironic smile on my face when I saw tomorrow’s Level 1 task :rolleyes2:rolleyes2!!!

    Here goes..:j!!!
