have vacuumed, damp dusted (nursing thing!) and even vacuumed behind the chairs and sofa (+ conservatory). Cushion covers from scatter cushions are in the TD - I bet no one notices!!
Still I know the rooms I have done are cleaner and MIL coming at the weekend (who could do with doing some serious flying! and lots of 27 thing flings herself!)
Better have some lunch before going to get my 4 from school (in the rain again!):jTrying to be thrifty mum of 4!
:A0 -
afternoon girlies - hope everyone is having a good day
Well done on your weigh in rach - you must have been really strict with yourself - great result
Tiamai - love your new avatar
lil_me - are you any better today?
Mumofjusttwo - as sexymouse and pollybear have said, I tend to thank everyone on this thread (not so much on others) cause everyone's so supportive and when we chatter such a lot, it's a way of keeping up with where you are
Woo hoo vanilla - what a difference - pat on the back and massive :coffee:.
Vanilla's pics reminded me of a photo I saw on the work email the other day about making sure you're dressed before taking photos for ebay as the reflection of some bloke in his full (not so impressive) naked glory was reflected in a mirror! If I can find it when I get back to work tonight I'll post itI'd rather be watching CSI!0 -
Weird sat here with no kids, DS1 due home soon, DS2 has got a place on an afterschool club so don't have to collect him until 4pm instead of 3pm.
Thanks for the hugs and thoughts, you lot are so lovely. Thankfully no bruises showing this morning, the tiniest cuts hurt the most, especially an incy teeny one on my finger which hurt even more when I started cleaning, glass I think we'll find for weeks, maybe months as we've cleaned it several times and it's still appearing. Decided not to be a wuss and drive today so I just get on with it, I was very nervous at first, especially on the smaller roads. DS1 seems fine thankfully and hasn't mentioned it again. Ordered the wing mirror off ebay, forgot quidco, DOH!
Productive day, window now works as popped in to get it finished, been to see OU about what courses to do next and I think we've decided. Unfortunately went to Costco, spent more than I should possibly but serious bargains only. I now have (with what I got last week) enough dishwasher tablets to last me well into the new year, got the dog food, some other bargains inc veg like a sack of onions and spuds.
Barely touched the housework yet, have done a vacuum round, need to dust in a mo the shelves and window ledge (did window) I also found a splash of something brown (coffee not poop I think) which I need to try to get off.
Right I best go and get DS2 from school. Hope you've all had a good day. Will update the list when I get back. One day I might be more organised...........

:A0 -
Back from school run but out to swimming in 5. Did get most of my bits done. Not hoovered the living room but did empty the grate and hoovered it out. Quickly put the last of the pile of leaves in the recycling bin and put it out for collection tomorrow.
Have a meeting at school tonight and then may pop to Tesco so flying will stop until tomorrow - behind by Tuesday again already! Ho hum I'll do the living room before exam in the morning. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Living room looks a mess again, and it was only done a few hours ago!
DS2 is looking better, lil !!!!!!, DS1 collected from school.
Went to Morrisons to [strike]satisfy urge to spend money[/strike] get some meat and spent £43!! On what? Meat and crap!
Brats behaved ok so they are now stuffing their faces with sweets.
Mleh...
Oh, and I can't see avatars! Must have a fiddle....
And look for a banjo. Hubby has asked for a banjo for his Christmas.0 -
Major catch up week from me needed, so to try and make a good start I printed off the list for Monday and Tuesday last night and since then have managed –
Manic Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room/Area
Level Two
Wipe down surfaces
Wipe kitchen cupboard fronts and kickboards
Wipe down fronts of major appliances (cooker, firdge, freezer etc)
Level Three
Dust any extra furniture in dining area, checking for cobwebs on way round
Wipe & replace small appliances.. kettle, toaster etc (wipe under too, especially the toaster!)
Clean the oven if you missed it last week or it needs it
Extra tasks if you want to do more- Wipe window sills and clean windows in these rooms
- Check the freezer, see what you have which needs using to make room for Xmas goodies
- Tuesday Triple - Living Room, Hall and Stairs
Level 2
Dusting, even if around everything
Remove clutter making sure stairs especially are safe
Clean TV, other electricals and cabinets
Water any thirsty plants, wipe their poor neglected leaves!!
Level 3
Wipe light switches, sockets (make sure they are not switched on!!) and banister
Clean any other glass like mirrors, pictures etc
Tidy shoes, coats and bags .. wash any that need washing in preparation for cold weather!! See if there are any that don't fit, past their best or just plain uncomfy which could leave the house!
Put up linings or winter curtains to keep out those draughts.
[STRIKE]Clean floors[/STRIKE]
Clean [STRIKE]washer drawer[/STRIKE], filters on the dryer, dishwasher and cooker hood filters
[STRIKE]Hoover floors and underneath furniture[/STRIKE]
15 mins paperwork
How I am managing to finish level three without completing level one on both days is past me. One question though I have never looked at the cooker hood filters what do I do once I get them out can I only replace with new ones or will they wash?
I am also knackered with a full days cleaning but determined to catch up ready for tomorrow, from my own lists I have to still finish the ironing (about an hours worth), [STRIKE]put the Wm on again [/STRIKE]and sort out xmas card list (I have finally found last years list which i will sort through tonight)0 -

Clean radiator in living room
Clean doors in living room
[/strike]
[strike]Sort magazine basket[/strike]
[strike]Clean skirting boards in living room[/strike]
[strike]Empty stair basket and put the stuff in it AWAY!![/strike]
[strike]Wash yesterday's uniforms[/strike] and iron.
[strike]Put away clothes ironed yesterday and allowed to sit in pile overnight.[/strike]
Wrap ebay parcel
Post ebay parcel
[strike]List three things[/strike]
ONE HOUR in attic!
[strike]Take up the things sitting on landing to wait to go into attic[/strike]
Fair bit done, just got to wipe round the skirting boards. Didn't post the ebay parcel as very rainy and couldn't make myself go out. Besides, waiting for payment or 2 more and got several auctions finshing tomorrow. Makes more sense to get the car out to go to PO for a few things rather than one parcel.
Haven't been up in attic yet but moved all the stuff that needs to go up there and it's all sitting in a huge pile waiting for me to go up. DD is at a friend's house for tea tonight so might go up for an hour.
Vanilla - wow, you're brave, posting your before pics!!! Kitchen looks great now!0 -
Afternoon Guys
Just got back from work, tea is already in oven - just pizza tonight as it's a bit rushed. Plan to clean the living room when DS is at footy practice later. While I'm out I also need to get a card for a work colleague whose just had a baby boy!!
Haven't caught up on the thread yet but will do later.
I'm soooo tired, it gonna be a long week me thinks!!
See you later
