Have a lovely time in Scotland xx0

Morning all,
Thanks SSDD23 - I had a really lovely time and looking forward to going back possibly in October to see family.
It was payday yesterday - phew but I can't touch it until Monday as that is when it appears in my YNAB budget. I have nothing left in the Everything else and Diesel categories but some money in Dining out and groceries. This could mean I cut down on the dining out/fun category but I will give it another month and see if the pattern repeats. I got a cheque yesterday for money I'm owed and it was less than I was owed but I let it go as I couldn't find a receipt for £8 so I got a cheque for £45 but I can't get to the bank until Sat.
I will have to try another tough month for July but at least now I'm squirreling more away for savings (thanks to Monzo pots) and I will hopefully have enough money to pay my rates in full next year which should reduce my outgoings. I have set up a pot for a buffer - each time I was setting this money aside I spent it. It's now going into a locked pot that I can't touch for a year and hopefully I will have a good buffer built up by then.
I have a dietician's appointment on Monday as stomach is playing up and has been for a while - Dr referred me about 3 months ago and I had sort of forgotten about it. Hopefully it will be beneficial to me.
No plans this weekend - is it an age thing that I need a relaxing weekend after a busy one
June budget
Groceries - £100/£12.24 left
Dining out/fun - £80/£21.18 left
Everything else - £0 (I got a cheque yesterday for the money I'm owed but can't get to bank until Sat)
Diesel - £160/£0 left.0 -
Morning
Busy weekend again but I didn't feel like my relaxing weekend started until yesterday afternoon as I had to give a speech at a volunteer thing yesterday and that had me up to high-doh until the stupid thing was over.
I did little on Friday night as had to work late because my boss is now on a months leave, so had a major catch up with her and know where I stand for the next month. I was invited to a friends for a drink on Friday but I was shattered. Saturday I went to my sisters aid as she had forgotten her car keys and was stuck far from home. Then I popped into shops (no spends) and met friend for coffee and that night I went to friends house for take out and put the world to rights. Yesterday was a quick run round the forest with fluffy pup to settle my nerves and then a speech _pale_. It all went well and I basically came home and vegged on the sofa.
This week I have 2 lunches & a dinner booked into the diary but really looking forward to it all. I have a volunteer thing tonight and then another 1 on Friday and the weekend I'm supposed to be going to a friends house for drinks so will have to factor in a taxi fare.
Money front - I made it to the end of June with some money left in groceries and dining out. I have started July's budget from scratch and my colleague has just told me it's a 5 weekend month - gulp.
I'm on a half day as I have a dietician's appointment today and hopefully she is a bit more use than the last one.
Budgets set for July and it does help that we have 2 bank holidays this month.
July budget
Groceries - £[STRIKE]80[/STRIKE]/£79.30 left
Dining out/fun - £80/£80 left
Everything else - £130/£130 left
Diesel - £150/£150 left.

Morning all,
I'm on a half day today as I'm volunteering at a race that my friend organises. I stayed late last night and in early today to make sure that I was ahead of my work. Plans this weekend involve meeting friends for drinks tomorrow night, taking pup to groomers & a run and vegetating on Sunday.
I think I have my Debt free aim sorted - I will be debt free by July 2020 - that gives me 12 months. I should clear my Very balance next month and then increase my payments to my credit card once Very is clear - hoping that the following works out -
- Very - clear August 19
- Credit card - clear Jan 2020 (6 months)
- Loan - clear July 2020 (12 months)
If I was stricter I could probably do it a bit faster but I'm happy with the proposed dates.
I was speaking to a friend yesterday and he is organising a trip to Italy in April next year for our group. Very excited and do plan on attending so I will have to just keep the holiday pot topped up. I'm getting the balance of debt paying and having fun - life is too short.
Money front - not too bad this week and I'm on top of the frittering. I have a lunch today, drinks tomorrow and probably 2 more work lunches in July - the Dining out pot will take a hit. I am getting £40 I'm owed tomorrow so I might have to top up the pot with some of that money.
July budget
Groceries - £[STRIKE]80[/STRIKE]/£68.16 left
Dining out/fun - £80/£55 left
Everything else - £130/£130 left
Diesel - £150/£115 left.
Health front - feel good in myself. I can now run 5k easily with no knee pain (touch wood) however scales have not budged in a few weeks. I will just keep plodding on and hope there is a shift eventually.0 - Very - clear August 19

Morning all,
We have a long bank holiday coming up for the 12th and so many people are on leave at the minute. I would like to say I will use it as a chance to get caught up in work but to be honest I'm procrastinating big time
Money front - Budgets didn't change much over the weekend. I went to lunch on Friday with friends and 1 of the guys picked up the bill even though we insisted on paying. I was then given a bottle of wine as a thank you. I spent £20 at the groomers for pup. I went to a friends house on Saturday and all it cost me was £10 because I bought wine for her as a thank you and the taxi was £5. Over the weekend I spent £30 and no frittering:)
I should be ok this week on spends - I spent £37 this morning on diesel and I have a lunch out tomorrow. I will buy a few nibbles for the bank holiday weekend and I have the beauticians on Saturday but at least it is all budgeted for.
Weekend was great - I went for a run on Sat & a walk in the sunshine on Sunday. I helped out at a run on Friday and had lunch with friends and then over the weekend I spent time with friends for a wine date and a coffee date.
I guess I better do what I'm getting paid for....hope Monday isn't too painful.
July budget
Groceries - £[STRIKE]80[/STRIKE]/£68.16 left
Dining out/fun - £[STRIKE]80[/STRIKE]/£55 left
Everything else - £[STRIKE]130[/STRIKE]/£105 left
Diesel - £[STRIKE]150[/STRIKE]/£78 left.0 -
Well done on no frittering over a busy weekend0

Well done on no frittering. I think I need to reign in my spending a bit, because I feel I've started frittering a bit lol.0

Hi Lilith, it’s the odds & sods I fritter away that annoys me, especially when I know I don’t need the stuff
It’s a bank holiday here today & I have 3 things I want to do -
- Bake coffee cake
- Sort out last years holiday clothes
- Trim hedge
I hadn’t planned on cutting the hedge but I’m getting my nails done tomorrow so don’t want to ruin them. Putting the list on here so that I actually do the jobs😊

I didn't realise you'd started a new diary  so I've been awol for a bit Munchin. Well done on resisting frittering

HOLIDAY MONEY = £0 TIME LEFT TO PAY OFF MORTGAGE = 5 YEARS 1 MONTHS0 -
Hi HHD - not much has changed on the current diary - bit like the last - trying to stop the frittering:o.
I'm a bit pink today. I got all my jobs done on Friday and I have to say my cake was lovely (surprised myself). I cut it into 3 so that I could give some to my Aunt and my sister and it stopped me from eating the entire cake
. Hedge cut & last year's holiday clothes sorted. I also cleared out the underwear drawer and did a tidy up. I honestly do not need any new holiday clothes. The only think missing might be a beach bag - the one from last year needed replaced last year but I'm thinking it might still do me.
Yesterday I enjoyed the sunshine in the garden but went for a walk with sister & family so at least I could pretend I wasn't totally lazy. I watched most of F1 and the end of the tennis. Went to bed super early as I was knackered and slept like a log.
Today pup & I went for a run early so that both of us didn't overheat. Then I took Mum & nephew to the shops - spent £16 in coffee shop on 2 coffees, tea & buns to share - couldn't believe the cost....put it down as a happy memory.
Back to work tomorrow...sigh... I'm volunteering tomorrow night so will probably not be home until near 10 or after. Thurs I'm having dinner with a friend and then Friday is a hospital appointment for my Mum. This week is pretty busy and that stresses me out a bit but it's all good things but sometimes I want to just put duvet over my head and let it all pass.
Money front - doing well but feel like I need to have more in my savings than I do and I've squandered money over the years but no point in looking at the past. If I think of how much I've paid in debt and how quickly then once I'm debt free I can start building a savings nest egg.
Health front - I haven't lost weight in weeks (but I haven't gained) and my diet is so much better than in the past but I would like the weight loss to start again.
OK have 3 hours before I start having to get ready for bed and sort out the lunchbag for tomorrow so I better enjoy the next few hours.0
