Considering it was a 4 day work week, boy was it a tough one!

My 3:30pm finishes are lovely though. Getting housework done, longer walks with the dogs, cooking more and seeing my mum more. I've lost 3lbs this week so really chuffed with that.

Got my pay out from streaming of £52.17. Unfortunately, I forgot dog 1 had to go for her booster and repeat medication yesterday which was £80, so that's gone already! I did get the nationwide cashback for supermarket shopping on debit card and that was £8, which was nice. I think there is still two months of it left, so should get two more payouts from it.

A colleague had hurt their arm/shoulder a couple of weeks ago and is waiting for a scan at the hospital, so I lent them the sling I had from when I hurt my shoulder to help ease the pain a bit. Yesterday morning I found a bottle of wine on my desk as a thank you from them, which was really lovely and very much appreciated after the busy week I had had! 🙂

Trying to get through a few programmes that are on the Disney channel, as I plan on cancelling my subscription after the last episode of The Mandalorian airs this coming Wednesday. That will be a saving of £7.99 a month.

I got an e-mail from the energy provider this week telling me how the government help is ending and therefore my DD will be going up to £110 from the start of May. How kind of them! I know I shouldn't complain as I am in a lot better situation than many people but it is just ridiculous what they are getting away with! 😡

Hoping for nicer weather tomorrow so we can have a trip out and a nice walk with the dogs.

Have a lovely weekend all 🙂

An eventful bank holiday weekend has been had. We got paid on Friday so thought we would have a treat of a meal out at a local pub restaurant. It was absolutely lovely! Will definitely go back there again, although it did total £65 😬

Saturday, we walked the dogs to a little pet food place just outside the village, bought what we needed and decided to take the scenic route home using footpaths going across the fields. I then went over on my ankle in a tractor tyre track and screamed my head off! BF then had to leave me in said field, walk the dogs home, get the car and come get me. I had to hobble out of the field to the road to wait for him. Luckily nothing broken but badly sprained and I have crutches to walk with for a couple of weeks. The rest of the weekend has been spent with my foot elevated, watching tv and cross-stitching. Not a terrible way to spend the weekend but knowing I can't do anything is very frustrating!
Due back into work tomorrow but it isn't going to happen. I don't think I can fit my swollen ankle and foot in any of my shoes, I also work in an office upstairs, so they need to sort me something out downstairs if they want me back in, as I know they won't let me work from home the rest of the week.

On the plus side, I made an overpayment to the mortgage and it is now £42,600 🙂

Hope you enjoy the rest of the bank holiday x

Ankle is starting to get better and I can put a bit of weight on it now, still quite swollen though and some nice bruising has appeared. Boss has said I can work from home the rest of the week after clattering around the office on my crutches today 😅

I've cashed out 2x £5 Amazon vouchers this evening from surveys (Norstat and ipsos) I've already added them to my account and it will come off the bag of dog food coming on Friday.

Glad to hear your ankle is improving  Jessy!

Never heard of Norstat before. Are there any good?

Thanks @themadvix . I've used norstat for a few years, the surveys are usually nice short ones, you even get a point if you get screened out. They used to do Bacs but seemed to have stopped that recently, so I just go for the Amazon vouchers, which you do get straight away.
https://www.norstatpanel.com/en that's the website if you want to have a look.

Had a day working from home today, it was nice to rest my ankle, which is now turning a nice mix of yellow and green due to the bruising!

The other night me and BF decided to swap broadband providers. We've been with sky since moving in but the DD for broadband and phone line is now going up to £39.50 a month, but they're offering new customers the same for £24.99, cheeky monkeys! We did a search and decided to try Plusnet at £24.99 for the same package. They have both sent letters this morning as they now sort out all the switching for you. We just need to plug in the new router (when it arrives) on the date on their letter and all should be good. Fingers crossed anyway!

Last night I bought my first premium bonds! I've never had any and after reading so many diaries on here with people having them and the excitement of the monthly draw, I thought I would give it a go. I've only put £50 in so far but will add to this every month as a savings fund 🙂
