    While your mum’s offer is kind, I’d say no as one or other of you - more likely you as you’ve been out to work - may be unwell and no know it yet -and imagine how many virus particles there could be on your bedding. Sorry! (And I hope that’s not the case, but I know you wouldn’t want to expose your mum to it!)

    You know the thought never even occurred to me, vix! Thanks for that. I have decided to wash it today anyway and use the dryer :)

    Ah, see, in our house bird watching is a hobby enjoyed by the whole family... safely from inside! On the rare occasion there’sa pigeon in the garden when I let the boys out before dinner they always seem a bit taken aback by it!
