Glad it went well today Jessy. It does seem like they’re a bit clueless though, if they don’t realise that your customers will want to know about the precautions being taken! At least the MD seemed to understand once you pointed it out.

Glad your first day went well, hope the others haven't been too bad and they've sorted the PPE out.
I'm still working full time at home, and set the alarm every day to let the chickens out anyway (although I usually wake up before it), but I am definitely NOT looking forward to my commute starting back up againWell, I imagine the first few times will be a novelty but I'd rather it didn't become too regular!

I think your employers may have missed the point that if you can work from home you still should, Jessy
I know other employers have gone gung-ho about getting people back in - but that's still only for those who are unable to do their jobs from home. Not sure how you can politely bring that up, though!

Thanks guys!
They're slowly getting there but they do seem to have put getting production started again and making money before sorting out safety measures! Reminds me that we are just only a number to them and our health is not a priority! That morning alarm is starting to annoy me already! 😂
BF is still furloughed and still awaiting to hear when he'll be going back, hopefully he'll know soon.
Not a lot to report. T3sc0 is coming tonight, I think we should get everything but we'll see!
Take care x

Still at work, I'm pretty tired, mentally and physically! A 7 week break certainly makes you lose a lot of the stamina that you had to deal with work. I'm getting an extra £15 a day from being back to 100% pay, so probably not worth it to some people but I'm glad to have a job still! I may still get furloughed for another 3 weeks but it seems less likely as the week goes on because when I'm not doing my work, my supervisor is showing me some of the other people's work to do. I'm also having just half an hour lunches and get to leave at 4:30pm, it's surprising what a difference half an hour makes, BF meets me at the end of the day, we walk the dogs together, get home and cook tea and we've all eaten, washed up and sat down by 6pm. I then get some time to relax before going to bed.
I asked BF to call the council today as the DD goes out on the 18th and ideally I want all bills to go out on the 1st, so it's all done and dusted for the rest of the month. He was able to change it but it won't process until the 1st July so he paid June's on his card there and then. I told him to take it off the board he'll pay me at the beginning of June but he says he might not take all of it off to cover the cost of boyo still being here, which is good.
I then decided to do something naughty! I made an overpayment on the mortgage of £155 to take me under £66k. I had to take it out of the EF fund but I will put it back when I get BFs board. It will go back over when the interest is added on next week but the normal payment that comes off the week after will take me back under and that's where I will stay! I took a month off my term and save £195 in interest by doing the overpayment.
T3sc0 came last night and they had everything I'd ordered. It was £79 and we should only need some bread and milk to get us through until the next shop in two weeks. I'll tot up the shopping amounts or the month next week but I'm thinking I'll be under the £200 I had in mind. Which I don't think is bad for 3 people for the month (I'm sure there's lots of MSEs who can do it for less!)I
Oh and we got some free donuts from a work colleague today! Woohoo!

Work sounds like it's hard work. I completely understand what you mean about stamina though - when I've had temporary office jobs in the past it really takes it out of me for a while because I'm not used to it (just a lazy so and so!). Hope you get back into the swing of it soon.
Naughty naughty about the OP, but I know I'd be sorely tempted too! And yay to free doughnuts!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days
