Unfortunately, not a no spend day. BF declared after lunch we needed another loaf of bread and he would go to the shop, 5 hours later, he still hadn't been so off I tootled. I spent £4.35, a loaf of bread, some oat milk for me, a bottle of diet lemonade and a pack of jaffa cakes. I still can't get out of the treat buying but I didn't get as much as what I would have done usually!
I've been streaming a lot this past couple of weeks and doing as many surveys as possible so I'm hoping for some payouts soon.
We had cereal for breakfast, cheese ravioli for lunch and quiche with a jacket potato and coleslaw for tea.
Boyo has taken a liking to my cereal and my nice yoghurts! Gosh darn it, why can't he eat his dad's stuff?! You see, this is why i don't have/want kids, you can't have nice things!!! 😂

I don't know how you do it!Bargainhunter30 said:Once you have kids nothing is ever your own again!!
It really is, but you're so right, we are healthy, safe in our nice homes and better off than a lot of people, so we have to be thankful for that.Thick_n_Thin said:Hi, I feel your pain about being in limbo about when we will be returning to work.. it’s the not knowing that’s the worse and dosnt help with planning finances ect. I also called the vets yesterday about Dog 1's booster. They said that they're not doing them at the moment and if it's only due now, he's fine for another 6 weeks (good to know he's safe), so that's some time for things to hopefully go back to normal and a relief money wise for me, I really didn't want to dip into the EF. I've decided to set up another savings account for little things like this, a miscellaneous account for dog boosters, birthday cards and presents etc. Even if I just put £20 in a month it will certainly help.
The food plan today is cereal for breakfast, spaghetti hoops on toast for lunch and curry for tea (I bought a saag masala sauce to try and will just add a load of veg).
Have a lovely day! XMortgage Balance as of July 2025 £14,900.

Hi jessy, I guess it’s better than no info at all regarding going back to work, fingers crossed your job is still there. I’ve been trying to find out when furlough may reduce to 60% if they do go ahead with it, will it be after June or imminent....MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁3

Unfortunately, it wasn't an NSD yesterday. When speaking to the vets about Dog 1 the other day, I also spoke about Dog 2 who is on medication for the rest of her life for incontinence (an unfortunate outcome to having her spayed) and she needs some more. That was £17.90 for 30 tablets but seeing as she only has half a tablet once a day, that's 60 days worth. I paid for it over the phone and we will go collect it today.
The veggie curry was a hit last night! Really lovely sauce and all plates were clean (boyo can be a bit fussy with some foods - he doesn't like tomatoes and mushrooms, two of my favourite foods! I now cut them into really small bits and disguise them in a sauce to trick him into eating them! Mwah ha ha haaa!)
Today will be a cooked breakfast for brunch (potato waffles, beans, plum tomatoes - which boyo now likes after I encouraged him to try them and fried eggs) For tea we will be having Linda McCartney mozzarella burgers, mash potato and mushy peas, might do some fried onions for on top of the burgers. Starting to think we don't eat the healthiest of meals!
Taking a day off from streaming today to do some cross stitch birthday cards, should be a nice relaxing day.
