Thanks Beanie and NG x Unfortunately, she didn't win, some cowboy scarecrow with a small paddling pool with paper fish in won! Doesn't even make sense! Why would the cowboy have a fish pond?! 🤣
Quiet Sunday here. Woke up with a bit of a funny feeling in my throat, like you get when a cold is coming on, fingers crossed it isn't because its our week off and I'd have to cancel my cleaning jobs 🤞
To make myself feel better I did some spreadsheeting and thanks to a surprise payment from my streaming coming into the bank, I had enough for a £100 op to the mortgage. It now stands at £11,700. We get paid early this month as well, on the 26th, so won't be long until I can make my big monthly op 🙂
The rest of the afternoon was spent streaming, which was fun. DH said he could hear me down the street shouting at the game when he took the dogs out for a walk. I was fighting zombies and my character wasn't doing what I wanted them to do, so who wouldn't start shouting 😅
Now for a chill rest of the evening, I started reading Jane Eyre last night, so will carry on with that before bed.Mortgage Balance as of September 2025 £11,700

Jane Eyre, that takes me back - we did it at school! Completely understand the shouting at your character, you can't hang about where zombies are concerned 🧟♀️!

Thanks vix and SC x. Unfortunately, it has turned into a full blown cold 😠 This always seems to happen when I have a week off! I had to call and cancel my cleaning job yesterday. There was no way I could go to the house of a couple in their 80s with it.
Today, I don't feel worse than yesterday so I'm taking that as a good sign. It is our 2nd wedding anniversary, so we're taking the dogs to have a run in the private dog field and then going for a coffee and cake after. This evening we're going out to the local Indian restaurant for a meal, which is probably a good thing with this cold 🤣 I can have a nanny nap this afternoon.
I don't have any cleaning jobs today or tomorrow, so hopefully I'll get over this cold and I have two cleaning jobs Thursday, one for a lady in her later 70s and another for a disabled gentleman, so again, not ones I can go to if it is still lingering. Blooming typical!
Boyo is coming to see us Thursday and stopping over though so that will be nice, at least we'll get to see him before uni. Unfortunately, as it was arranged short notice I haven't had a chance to get him anything!
Have a good day all x
