Thanks both ❤️
Well that's the day job done for the week. Went in half an hour early as planned, had to go to the dentist with DH at dinnertime and the waiting room is basically a conservatory, I thought I was going to melt! 🥵 I was in shorts and tshirt, but I have to wear steel toe cap boots with working in the factory so my feet felt awful. Went back to work and then finished half an hour early. I came home and had a quick shower to freshen up. Dogs weren't happy that they just went out to the toilet and not a proper walk, but needs must. It's meant to be a bit cooler tomorrow so looking forward to that.
I have two cleaning jobs tomorrow morning and then one on Sunday morning. We have been invited round for pizza at my parents tomorrow evening, yummy!
Me and DH have had a bit of a chat about the mortgage and I have put forward the idea of when it gets to Christmas and I've got the mortgage down to about £7k, would he use some of his savings (he'll have about £18-£19k by then) to pay off the remaining amount and then when I sell this place, I will give him the £7k back. He seems open to the idea, but I don't want to get too excited about it just yet. 🤫Mortgage Balance as of July 2025 £14,900.
Starting Mortgage Balance (June 2019) £72,000.

Definitely seems a better idea borrowing off him IF his interest rate is lower than mortgage, it just makes complete arithmetic sense. Obv if he's gaining more interest than you would save, even though psychologically it would be great to be mortgage free, arithmetically you'd be better carrying on as you are

You are right Daisy, financially, it makes sense to carry on as we are, but mentally, it would be the best thing. It's not set in stone anyway, we'll decide for definite near Christmas, so a few months to go yet 🙂
Two cleaning jobs done yesterday and as a reward, I made a £100 op to the mortgage and it now stands at £14,800. I then did the washing and got that all that out to dry and then had a nanny nap. After waking up and freshening up, we went round to my parents house for pizza. The dogs enjoyed their time mooching round the garden and i can't wait until we have our own, so the dogs can go out whenever they want and chill.
Today, DH has gone off to a karate training morning, as he is wanting to grade for another Dan in September, so he's wanting to train as much as he can. He's had some interest with starting classes two villages along to ours, so will probably be teaching two days a week soon. I've had a cleaning job this morning, showered and washed my hair and then cleaned the bath and sink after. I've put some towels in the wash , after putting away yesterday's washing, which are now drying on the airer by a window. Now I am chilling out with some Gardener's World and a glass of cider that I got for my birthday.
It is Dog 1s 11th birthday today, so she is being spoiled rotten with lots of fuss and treats (standard day really 🤣).

Thanks for the birthday wishes for Dog 1, I'm sure she very much enjoyed all the extra attention, spoilt brat that she is 🤣
NG, it is getting very close now and I'm getting more and more impatient! I really shouldn't be looking at righmove because there's a few places I would love to go view. I just hope there will be as many when we start looking properly.
I have to say, I'm really struggling to give a monkeys this week! You know when you just can't be bothered to work and you just want to sit at home and watch TV? That's my mood this week 🤣 I have however been going to work and had a cleaning job yesterday. I have a cleaning job tomorrow and then on Friday I'm having a girly night with 3x other ladies from work at one of their houses. We did it last year and I'm looking forward to it again this year. We're ordering pizzas and I'll take some snacks and some non alcoholic drink, as I have a cleaning job Saturday morning and can't be doing with a hangover.
