South_coast said:I did better than that. I took some survey money I had set aside just in case I need it before payday and put it into savings 😀😀😀
Although, I'm the same. I've taken my cleaning money and survey money and made an overpayment of £100 to the mortgage today. It now stands at £16,600.
I'm getting so excited about being under £10K by the end of year, I'm almost wishing the time away!
Been at a cleaning job today after work and delivered the new dyson. It worked nicely but can't say I'm sold on them myself, I'd probably go for a cheaper make.
No cleaning tomorrow after work so I might stream instead.
Cleaning Thursday and then we have a quiz with my parents at the community centre on Friday night, which should be fun. 😀

Blooming heck it's hot! I was born in June but I'm a fair weather lass, not a hot summers day one! Luckily the office has air con and then I've only been taking the dogs our for toilet breaks during the day and they have been having longer walks first thing in the morning and then late at night. We currently have two fans in the bedroom for night-time 🤣
Not a lot to report here. The mortgage is currently £16,400. When payday comes next Friday it will be £15,400 and then I'm hoping with a mix of cleaning money and birthday money it will be under £15k by the 1st of July 🙂
We went to a quiz with my parents last Friday and I won a box of milk tray on the raffle, yummy! I then claimed a £15 amazon voucher from moneysupermarket for doing my home insurance through them. I've also started entering some competitions after my mum gave me some of her prima magazines and I did the crossword puzzle, you could win £50 for that, so I thought why not, got to be in it to win it! That has taken me down a bit of a rabbit hole and I'm now entering competitions for plants, books, muddy paws dog washers and a load of other things 🤣 Fingers crossed anyway 🤞
No cleaning job tonight, as unfortunately my customer has had to go into hospital. He says he's OK but they want to keep an eye on him. Fingers crossed he's all OK and out soon. I do have cleaning jobs tomorrow, Thursday and Friday, which I'm not looking forward to in this heat, but hey ho, it's enjoyable and extra cash in my pocket. I may just sweat some weight off too 😅
The morrisons shop has come tonight so we are all stocked up for the next two weeks. I also found a receipe for golden syrup cake in my mums magazine, so I've bought the ingredients to have a crack at that. Not good for the weight loss, but thought it would be better to make something myself, than keep going to the shop for snacks!

Omg is the forum working again?! That was a horrible couple of days. I said to DH how upset I was that I couldn't use the forum, thank goodness it seems to be working again! 🎉
I wanted to update that I received the nationwide fair share payment, so I'd paid it straight off the mortgage. New total £16,300!.3 cleaning jobs done this week. I'm struggling to do my own cleaning at home beacuse I'm doing other people's, so after reading in a magazine the other day about doing a 5 minute cleaning job a day, I've been trying that and it seems to be working well, and i dont feel like i have to do it all at the weekend. Also, cleaning tip for today. A 2p coin gets rid of limescale off metal. Not sure if it's because you're scraping it off or not, but it does work!Mortgage Balance as of July 2025 £14,900.

Thanks SC ❤️
It's been a busy day. Dog 3 woke me up at 4:30am this morning, due to lack of walks yesterday because it was so hot, she wanted out as soon as she could! After getting back from walking all 3 dogs, I dozed for a bit. DHs alarm then went off because he had a karate thing 2hrs drive away and it started at 10am. He left at about 7:15am, so I got up, fed the dogs and got a cup of tea. Then got showered and dressed in scruffs, as I had been granted permission to enter next doors garden to put another coat of paint on our external back wall. They went out and left the special electric gate open, but I was not allowed the gate code or a fob. Imagine my amusement when the wind blew over the plank of wood they had used to cover the sensor thing and keep the gate open and the gates began to close, leaving me locked in the garden! At the time I was 6ft up a ladder painting sealer on a wall where the render had fallen off. I scurried down the ladder and ran across the garden but it was too late 🤣 I then had to message neighbour to tell her what had happened. Still not being allowed the gate code, she rang other rich neighbour and he was allowed the gate code to come let me out. I had to refrain from painting a naughty word on said posh electric gates! 🤣
Anyway, the only bit left to paint is the wall that I had to paint the sealer on as it needs time to dry and set, so hopefully will only need access once or twice more. Then I shall not care because the house is going on the market in a couple of years and it shouldn't need doing again before that!
(I must admit that I did accidentally get some of my paint on their side, which they have recently had decorated as I was up the ladder with my roller on a pole when a gust of wind shook me and the roller swayed on their side. I was then unable to reach it to clean it off. When their decorator returns (of course they had hired a decorator!) I will apologise to him).
I then got cleaned up and showered and washed my hair and took the dogs for a walk. Sat down and had some salad for dinner, then got up, cleaned the budgies out, hoovered and mopped the floors. DH then got back and we had a chat, then I decided to make my golden syrup cake! It is currently cooling and DH has bought some custard to go with it. The rest will be sliced up and can be eaten when I crave sugar. I'll take some to work as well because otherwise they will moan at me 🤣
I think I'll have an early night after all that. Only a 4 day week this week and then a nice long weekend 😀Mortgage Balance as of July 2025 £14,900.
