Aww thanks both, that's a really lovely thing for you to say ❤️
Thank you @HouseMartin567, I did think that would be the case! The reason I say about renting our current place is because I don't think it will sell, but I guess I won't know if I don't put it on the market, so once the mortgage is paid off then I will see about doing that.
Not a great deal happening here. I'm waiting for the £50 from nationwide and I've requested a £50 refund from Eon next as my account is in credit. Once this £100 is received, I can pop an overpayment to the mortgage. I've done a cleaning job tonight and a bag of washing, I have a cleaning job Thursday and Saturday this week as well so that's a nice £50 this week.
DH did his first karate class last night with 5 people, including myself. It would have been nice if there was a few more but it's early days and was only adults. He doesn't want to start the kids classes until his dbs check comes through from the police, which could be another 6 weeks (they have 60days to do it). I did enjoy it and I've not seen that side of DH before, so I was very impressed with his skills! I've told him he should see about getting some leaflets done that we can pin around the village noticeboards as not everyone has Facebook.Mortgage Balance as of July 2025 £14,900.

Well done to DH. He could also ask school if they could put leaflets in bags once his checks are through.I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. That's a great idea, thanks Beanie 😀
I received the £50 from nationwide today and then with the cleaning money I'll make this week, I thought sod it and I made an overpayment of £100 to the mortgage. It is now at £19,500. I'm hoping by the end of May I will be able to knock two lots of £1k off and be under £16,000. I'm literally throwing everything and the kitchen sink at it 🤣Mortgage Balance as of July 2025 £14,900.

Thanks Beanie and NG ❤️
I received the £50 refund from Eon next, which will go towards my work bestie's birthday present and will pay for some bits for the doggos. In other good news, I have a new cleaning customer! She only wants me every other week and to do the 'spring cleaning' sorts of jobs like cleaning the skirting boards and insides of kitchen cupboards etc. This is absolutely fine by me and I'm very grateful that she picked me 🙂
I had a cleaning job this morning which also included moving a fountain in a garden as my 93 yo customer was trying to slowly wiggle it across herself! 😱 The rest of the day has been spent chilling as I've felt very tired and drained this week, which has made me feel a bit fed up as well. Tomorrow will be another chill day, as we're taking the dogs to the dog park and then will go to the garden centre after for a coffee and cake. 🙂

The mortgage is still at £19,500 and I don't like it, but payday is on Friday, so that will change very soon. 🙂 Should also hopefully get an extra £50 in my pay packet with the wage increase I was told about last month.
We've had a nice relaxing Easter weekend. I did a 2hr cleaning job on Friday morning and then some cleaning and washing at home, but that's been about it! We went to parents house for dinner yesterday which was lovely and came home with an Easter egg each. Feel a lot better for being able to recharge and not having to get up with an alarm!
Karate with DH tonight, but I can't say I'm really in the mood, but I think that's because I'm too relaxed that I don't want to do anything 🤣Mortgage Balance as of July 2025 £14,900.

Haha thanks SC 🤣
Oh no, hetty! It is now 5 weeks until next payday so I will share your pain next month!
Well, payday did come and £1000 has been knocked off the mortgage. It now stands at £18,500. The interest will be added on next week and then when the usual DD comes out at the beginning of May, I will make a small op to round down. At the end of May I hope to be into the £16k bracket. I scribbled out the £19k box off my chart and now only have 3 rows of my chart left to go! Super exciting!
After my payrise this month my new take home pay is now £2054.99, which is a £50 increase so I'm happy with that. Two cleaning jobs done this week and one more tomorrow. I got some extra money from my disabled customer whos washing I do, because he cut his arm on a door as he was going through in his wheelchair and unfortunately bled quite a lot in the sleeve of his jacket, so gave it to me to wash. Thankfully, it has come out and is now ready to go back to him next week. Bless him.
After tomorrow's cleaning job, I will go have a coffee with my mum and then Sunday is a whippet meet up, so will take the dogs to that and wear them out. Have a good weekend all xMortgage Balance as of July 2025 £14,900.
