Ugh, the weekend is nearly over! Why does it go so quick?! I can't complain really, as we have had a nice one. Friday, we went out to DH's favourite pub/restaurant to have an early birthday celebration meal. His birthday isn't until Tuesday but the place isn't open then, so we celebrated early. It was super yummy, as it always is there.
I didn't have any cleaning jobs this weekend, so we have been able to have nice lay-ins which felt well deserved. We haven't done a huge amount, just the usual weekend chores and then I've streamed Saturday and Sunday, so on my way to a little payout with that. I made some lovely carrot and parsnip soup which has done us lunch meals for both days with some nice crusty bread (bread was shop bought, because I haven't got the skills to make that! 🤣) I do like autumn and winter for soups and stews.
Tomorrow is back to work in the office fulltime as my burns are pretty much healed now. I have enjoyed working from home though, means I haven't had to see bully lady!
Have a good week all x

Thanks Beanie x
In absolutely brilliant news, bully handed in her notice this morning and had left before 10am! Turns out a lot of people had had enough of her behaviour and started complaining and it had resulted in a warning. The final icing on the cake seems to have been that she was interviewing people to replace me last week ready for when I move back into my other job role and there was a candidate who she thought was overqualified. Our boss said he would like to see this candidate because although they might be overqualified, their experience was suited to the role and told her to get them in, she didn't do this because it turned out she thought they would be a threat to her job role! Our boss is pretty laid back and to be honest he let's you do what you like as long as you don't take the mickey, so ignoring a direct order went down like a lead balloon, so she left!
Part of me feels bad that I'm happy she's gone but mostly I am so unbelievably relieved. I finally feel like I'm not going to be anxious going into work, worrying if I will upset her by just trying to do a good job. I actually cried when I was told she was gone, it was like a dark cloud had finally been lifted.
In other good news, it's DH's 40th birthday today. He was very pleased with the kindle I bought him and has got it all set up ready to read later. We've been to my parents house tonight where we had an Indian takeaway and cake, so overall a very good day!

Fantastic news at work Jessy! We spend so much of our lives there, it's important to enjoy that time as much as possible. A person like that makes it impossible. It impacts your life outside work too. Very happy for you and all your colleagues - you are well rid of her!3
