Ouch!! Gosh, sorry about your injuries. I confess I am guilty of being permanently attached to a hot water bottle, and I do usually use boiling water 🙈 Fortunate never to have had an incident (mine have always leaked rather than burst) but I know it's only a matter of time. Will be more diligent!

Hope you can get your corsetry back on soon!

Happy Anniversary Jessy, enjoy that takeaway 😊 my dh is a middle child and is also the classic example of it, Mil never calls him by his name it’s always, older sons name, younger sons name then dh’s name, every time 😆

Fingers crossed it all works out at work and you can leave the horrid colleague behind, that’s reason for celebration! Take care and I hope you are not in too much pain x

    Thanks NG ❤️

Yesterday I had my dressings changed again. All healing well still, no infection and instead of special burns dressings, I got normal waterproof ones, which means I got to have a proper shower this morning! Woohoo!! No more strip washes or having to bend over the bath awkwardly to wash my hair! It felt soooooo good 🤣

As I'm still having to rest, our trip to the hospital was all we did yesterday. I did however do some online retail therapy. I bought some jubilee clips to put on the waste pipe from the washing machine as ours doesn't have one and hasn't done since it was fitted back in 2019 and when plumber came to do the boiler the other week, he was looking under the sink and saw it and was quite surprised we haven't had a mishap already. Will get one fitted as soon as they arrive as I'm a bit paranoid about using the WM now. I also bought us a new quilt as we haven't had a new one since we moved in. How often are you supposed to replace quilts anyway? We've had ours just over 5 years, it's perhaps a little worn but that's it. I've bought a new one so I can at least rotate them instead of having to wash and dry in the same day. Then it is DHs 40th birthday in October and I keep asking what he wants and get 'I don't know' as a reply, but he did mention last week that he would like to read more, but as I tend to fall asleep first he doesn't want to turn his bedside lamp on in case he wakes me up, so I thought a kindle would be a nice idea and I ordered the compact one off amazon. If he doesn't like it (I'm sure he will) but if he doesn't then I'll nab it 🤣 All ordered on the credit card but will be paid off when we get paid on Friday this week.

Payday also means £1k off the mortgage day, so I'm super excited about that.

Now heres a question for you, my MSE friends: DH has got his car to pay off in November and has the money saved up for that already and then plans on saving the money that would have been used for the car payments, so that by the time I pay off the mortgage in about 2 years, he will have a nice deposit ready towards a new house. Do you think this is a good idea OR I suggested, giving some of that money to me to over pay the mortgage so that it gets paid off in say 18 months instead? I can't help thinking if he does that and the mortgage gets paid off even sooner then I can save all the extra money that I would have used on the mortgage and we would have a better deposit.
It's a difficult one because the mortgage is just in my name but I think now that we're married, that doesn't really matter anyway and I'm not asking for him to give me all the money he would save just a bit of it ( he thinks he could save around £1k a month and I'm thinking just £200 of that would make a huge difference to paying off the mortgage sooner). What do you think? TIA ❤️
