POPLA Appeal

Oh my! So my IP address was banned and I couldn’t access the forum! I ended up submitting and I’ve had a reply today. I will post it when I get to log in. I wonder if I did something wrong 😔0
-
a ban usually happens when you copy and paste from word (or from a pdf) or the pasted info is too long etc , it also happens when you have embedded links as you did above
there is a long standing report on this issue elsewhere on MSE, written by the admin staff as a warning to members (its an anti-spam thing)0 -
When an IP is banned you could still see the forum, logged out.
You are logged in, to have replied.I will post it when I get to log in
Now you need to focus POPLA's mind in your comments on the evidence, splitting the two grace periods (and not call it a total of 20 minutes, as people keep doing wrong).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I’m using 4G on my phone because I’m still banned via IP address
I need to read what they’ve put.
They’ve submitted images from 14/11/2018 from around the car park with signs.
So fed up I wish I just paid it!0 -
Supergirl, not sure how things work via 4G, but can you remove that second line in your last post? I cannot see that you have identified the driver in your appeal. I may have missed it but that last post makes it unnecessarily clear.
I wouldn't worry too much about the so-called signage evidence, the PPCs always try to make it look as if the car park is sign-city. A lot of signs is not the same as clear, easily legible and well-placed signage.
Did the PPC refute the grace period points? How about landowner authority - have they included a copy of a contract with the landowner?0 -
Not really, more important to look at what evidence they attached. As I said:I need to read what they’ve put,Now you need to focus POPLA's mind in your comments on the evidence, splitting the two grace periods (and not call it a total of 20 minutes, as people keep doing wrong).PRIVATE 'PCN'? This ban is ridiculous in relation to such a well-behaved member.
Experienced ones .... what if the OP were to sign up using a friend's computer? Any potential problems with that?
Best to use new username perhaps but otherwise could be totally upfront in order to easily post this evidence & get advice ASAP 'cos the clock is ticking.
But Supergirl if the above isn't possible, remember you have 2,000 characters to comment on the evidence so use bullet points and abbreviations.
If the PPC appear not to know that there are two grace periods, then focus on that as per C-m's instructions.
If there is no landowner contract included, conclude that the PPC do not have authority to operate the car park. Same if it is out of date.
Refute signage evidence with reference to the signage issues you originally identified.
But put most effort (and the most characters if necessary) into refuting their weakest evidence.0 -
Hi

I've managed to have the ban lifted, they gave me a link and explained that it is because of copy/paste with links in. It is in my email somewhere.
Currently fretting about this now
busy weekend and I have about 72 hours to fix this!
I will read the evidence but it looks like they've just added so many images.
Thanks so much!0 -
Is there any way to show someone the documents? There are images used with the vehicle entering and leaving.
A document signed by the owners of the land and ECP which expires 2020 so looks to be in date.
Their main argument is the signage saying that it is adequate, use of ANPR etc. No comments regarding the the grace periods. The document is also uploaded 3 times!! Very odd.0 -

The very initial appeal sent
that is where they'd got that from! I didn't know about this forum before then. 0
