GASBAG and proud of it Z!!!! :rotfl: where have you been? anywhere nice?
Moving... :eek:OKies, where to start? firstly, the job, Not heard anything form mr spontaneous interview, lets scare the bejesus out of you man, so am going to call him today and advise him of my availability for the week.... ie get down on my hands and knees and BEG him to call me back in again :rotfl:
You're being proactive. Chasing up loose ends - etc...OH and I didn't go to my work christmas doo in the end despite them making me pay for OH even though we cancelled 2 weeks early, the very idea of spending an evening making nice with people i really didn't want to make nice with didn't inspire at all, and the fact that OH had threatened to knock line managers block off if he said anything out of order  i thought it best to stay away!!:D
Just as a matter of interest, have *you* contacted the FSA to see what the exact details of who they consider a risk, and what should be checked and how often?"Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Good thinking ZTD! Hope the move went well! Sounds like lots of thnking going on P! Well done on the running! Know my hip bones are in there somehere!! How are things going with OH? Morning P - at least I think it is, it's very dark! Not quite sure what I'm doing up at this time (or why I've been awake for two hours already!) but it's given me some extra MSE catch up time!
Sounds like you made the right decision staying away from the work Christmas do - I spent most of mine cringing as assorted colleagues got very drunk and embarrassed themselves by rambling all sorts of nonsense at the managers
The dog training thing sounds fascinating, especially the cognitive behavioural bit - is it the same sort of theory as CBT for humans? I'm sure you'll raise the money OK, if you'd like daily nagging, er, reminder to get ebaying I'd be glad to oblige
Suppose I should do something useful with all this extra time - off to do some surveys and wash the dishes!

gosh young lady!! 0633AM!!! and what sort of hour of the day or night do you call that then?! and you put me to shame washing the dishes!! I staggered downstairs at 0710 after being dragged sleepily out of my bed by OH, stomped down the stairs muttering expletives under my breath, ironed, took washing from tumbler and folded it, took washing from machine and put it in tumbler, refilled washing machine and now back in bed!!!!:D
I would LOVE daily kicks up the swifty to get me ebaying and amazoning, I have somemany CD's to get shot of (atomic kitten anyone?:o ) and so many "ebay piles" in the house, alot of it just worth 2 quid or so, but hey it's 2 quid i didn't have before!!
The main theory behind CBT for dogs is that of wild instincts. they work very definately on a "so i do this and i get my ball" or "I do this and i get a treat and lots of fuss" basis and thats the main motivation for fido to do anything for us humans whatsoever  however most behavioural problems come of the dog have a displaced view of it's position in our human pack, thinking it is the pack leader and there will arise problems of aggression, seperation anxiety, destructive behaviour, running off in the park and not coming back etc. Some dogs absolutely lurve being top dog and will over act it for all they are worth, or will absolutely hate it and it scares the life out of them, so will over act it for all they are worth. a module of the course is studying the behaviour of wolves in the wild, their interaction and how they maintain their hierarchy. It is facinating and how we inadvertantly give signals to our dogs is amazing.
think i've just talked myself into doing the course:o
anyway enough of that,
Hope the move went well Z, was it a bigger move, smaller move, away from home move or just a "sod it i fancy a new gaff" kinda move? hope that you are settling in well and that box you are using as a tea table will be unpacked soon!:D
Yes I contacted the FSA via CAB last week, as i was really miffed and have a CAB about 150 yards from my house I stomped off down there in a huff to find out exactly what the score is.
sooo this is what they said
"if an employer perceives a problem with a person that may cause them to become unfit for the work that they carry out and therefore put the company into disrepute, the company can take such action as it deems necessary to protect itself, whether the requesting of personal bank statements is excessive cannot be stated by the FSA and would need to be decided via employment tribunal."
so basically the FSA don't have a policy on it by the sounds of it, meanwhile the company can do what the please and I have to take them to tribunal if i don't like it. FANTASTIC!!!!!! the problem is ev that they think i am going to do something dodgy, yeah right, as if i can risk my income like that!
yep ISOM looooooads of thinking going on!! in fact my little brain hasn't stopped thinking all week yet!! roll on chrimbo and some time off woooo!!
I WILL get there I will i will!!!
Sounded mum out about the northern rock idea yesterday, she said to speak to dad but didn't blow it out of the water straight away which is good.
and my tea is getting cold.... back in a sec.xxxx

Dad had a pre op assessment today, they're doing angio gram on 28th, happy christmas everyone! just terrified he'll do his usual and his heart'll stop beating on the table again. Has a bad habit of doing that everytime they go near his heart.*gulp* my biggest hugs and wishes to your family and dad hon, esp with it being that near to christmas. I will be in kent that day but if you need me you yell ok, can always come back your way. Try to enjoy christmas as much as possible and put it to the back of your mind for the day hon, easier said than done I know. xx
Just off to see my sister, the craft night was cancelled but need to take some stuff over and an orchid for our friend who had offered to make my wedding dress. Have i mentioned that i've found one? wedding dress? what wedding dress is that then? :rotfl: lol Sorry i'll stop that now, just no opportunity to get all giddy in male dominated office (and that includes the female dragon!!:D is she still giving you a hard time?).

Morning P and everyone!! Have been awake since 4 but needless to say have done very little except drink coffee and sit on MSE.....

Morning
No list for me today (it'd take too long to write) all the things I was going to do yesterday didn't happen as I ended up going into work instead. Working today-off Thursday and Friday and then working all day Saturday and Sunday-and that'll be it for this job. (No call for Santa's Grotto in January for some strange reason).
Packing DS off to his Dad's at some point on Thursday until Christmas morning-I suspect I won't get to bed Thursday night as carpet fitters and new bed for his room are coming first thing Friday and I need to do a debris clear and remove all the furniture (can't do it whilst he's here it's a surprise).
Can't get into Tesco's site to alter my online order either GRRR
Refusing to get stressed-got an extra hour at home this morning (Santa is coming in late) so will have a long soak in the bath before work so I'm ready for the little cherubs and their over-stressed parents
Hope the new job works out P-you're working for a right dodgy lot-I always think anyone who thinks so badly of others is merely reflecting back their OWN standard of morals and what they would do in a similar situation.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -
Good point about the management at P's job, Duchy.... glad you've got a nice soak this morning, and lol about too long writing the list, I kind of know what you mean. But things keep popping into my head, ooh I must do that.... and that ends up taking a lot longer.
Hope everyone has a great day.2023: the year I get to buy a car0
