With the budget, is it showing you have a surplus or a negative? Remember that it includes all annual payments like MOT and Car Tax as well as the monthly and weekly ones.

glad you got the refund at last. thought the rule about cheques clearing quickly was in force now maybe you should check that!

hope you find out what's happened with the spreadsheet, i've always found its best not to do one when i'm tired or full of caffine, funny things happen! lol

It's showing surplus which is great but I know i have a pants payday in Jan so was hoping to keep some back to cover. Am putting in everything i can think of this month, including repaying my £120 overdraft that work want me to repay, The costs of going out for christmas (no doos to go to but bessie buddie and I are going out on 22nd and OH wants to go out on 24th, think he can pay for that though!) and christmas pressie budget also, we are doing it all in one hit on saturday, eep!
Also owe OH's mum £60 for something work related so included that in there to.
I pay for car tax out of tax stamps saved from loose change so should that still go in there?

hmmmm, mine was a bit of an eye opener, think i'd been kidding myself, I've done a december pay and a jan pay on approximate incomes for now. Think i need to keep some back from decembers pay to cover Jan.
Spreadsheets make my eyes cross but worth it eventually i am guessing.

Cheque took about 2 1/2 weeks to come, was just going to call them to get "nicely forceful" when it plopped on the mat!! xxx
