I guess I'm lucky... my work is soooooo laid back about hols... its more a case of telling them when you are going to be off than asking. I've never been turned down and that includes the asking for the next day off the day before variety .

Thanks for the comment re the boss. I have to say a large part of that came out of my mouth when i read the letter this am but with rather a few of the lesser known members of the english language chucked in for good measure!! yep constructive dismissal was mentioned by the CAB to. I'm not fussed to be honest, rather work for a nice boss than a pants one i say!!

Yeah I'm not bad, the wobbly mess I was at the weekend has subsided into a strangely calm and accepting state of mind. I've spent the last few days sorting out things for next year - budgets (ooh you should see my lovely spreadsheet), holidays etc... I feel, dare I say it, almost, nearly, just about.. positive! :eek: x
