:hello: well done on your cooking skills, I eat meat and I still can't cook it  had to buy a slow cooker so that it was edible!
Glad you are resting your eye, sure you will be back to exercise in no time at all.
Uneventful day with me, spent the day trying not to spend money :rolleyes:Long haulers supporters DFW #109NR Loan #1 - £2951.18 Nov 08/0 -

hello peeples!!!!
WOL was lovely to natter on the phone and sorry my battery went flat on you.... but it was getting on for bedtime so probably gave up in protest!!!:rotfl:
V quick update as lots to do today and then away for 3 days as of tomorrow:eek: not sure if there will be an internet at the hotel we are at which will be a right royal PITA!! 3 days with no MSE aaargh!!!!
Well, I spent last night attacking quidco and going through all the free sign ups, (only 4 months late but ce la vie!!!) as a result i should shortly have about another £10 tracking in there to go with the £100 I already have:j
Put 3 lovely shiney new £2 coins int piggy today and had to resist sooo hard getting it all out again and counting it... hey just call me ebeneezer!!:rotfl:
Got to go and fill my car with petrol again boo hiss but will make use of tesco and get the points back to. I keep wondering about swapping my heap for a smaller cheaper car, but someone pointed out to me the other day that my car has a large engine in it, as such it is built much more robustly than a smaller car which is why it has kept going for so long on the miles that i do (routinely no less than 1500 per month, sometimes much much more.:o good job i love driving hey!!:D ) a smaller engined car at the same age or price would probably pretty quickly fall apart at the seams under that mileage, so reliable expensive-to-run car vs less reliable cheaper-to-run car
I also need to look at having it serviced and the cam belt changed asap so will be looking around for quotes on that today.
got a busy day ahead work wise today, lots to catch up on and lots of clients to stick a poker into to find out what they wish to do. so had best dash.
Oh and PS, I think i am coming down with something... I had the washing up done and kitchen cleaned by 0810 this morning:eek:  very VERY strange:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Have a good day all and catch you later. xxxdebt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0 -

Just a wee observation...Have you noticed pepys how when people become DFW they get more adventurous? Ie since becoming DFW I have taken up an allotment, cook from scratch, joined a book group & pretty much given up drinking....to name a few!

I think that when you have your eyes opened to one thing, IE finances, it makes you more aware of yourself. as you are looking inwardly at ways to cut spending etc it makes you realise ambitions or ways in which you are currently limited. this DFW journey does certainly lead places i can say that!!!In_Search_Of_Me wrote:P LO re the up by 8 & cleaning! (oh look another rip of "We will solve your debt" company advert on TV... hiss:mad: )In_Search_Of_Me wrote:Shame you dont live closer as I have a lovely garage locally who dont rip you off....
Speaking of which, each garage that i have spoken to for quotes has quoted me for a Cambelt KIT (well we might aswell do the whole lot) and also for a water pump (well we have to take it out to get to the cambelt so we might aswell replace it while we have it out!!!)
No, read my lips.... I would like a quote for a c-a-m-B-E-L-T and a service!!!!
I hate garages me......any way to get extra money from you.... any local DFW's what want £150 to service me car and do me cambelt???

Well done on sign ups! Yup the weather is great! Sun is shining & I too had the windows open for a good airing! Mind you it was cold so shut them fairly quickly!! Did debate going to WRN but then thought nahhhh!! More money as I have to join up now plus its £2 a week and I can go on my own! (not that I do but I can!!). re the sighn ups - does that mean you get to go visit pepys or chat on the phone? Great that youre feeling so positive!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Hello, P-just a quickie to say thanks again for yesterday-good luck with work and time away. I think i will be getting withdrawal symptoms from everyone.
Have just bought myself a slow cooker today out of my quidco money-only cost £7.50, and it matches the kitchen all black and silver.
Catch you later bob xxBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
