It's really frustrating isn't it when your OH is constantly eating and keeps offering you "naughty" stuff! Well done on sticking with your green tea and cherries:A.

Didn't have the 2nd HEA/HEB last night. Back later with today's plan.

    Denise

Still on the green tea... I've spent two days with OH and he has not realised that I am only eating certain foods... today he offered me a chocolate biscuit god knows how many times!

I desperately need to go shopping!

Whilst I am all for children with SEN attending mainstream school, I do think that it is important that consideration is given to whether this is the correct environment for the child (some professionals are so focused on the PC of being all inclusive... that they forget the needs of the child).

Good morning, it's my first day back on SW, home-style today until I get tomorrow's Woman mag voucher for free membership.

I am always concerned at the extremely low fat plan and don't like to use artificial sprays and sweeteners etc. So my plan is to use real olive oil in a spray bottle but won't syn that as its minimal. Also will be using natural yogurt (2 syns/100g) with fresh fruit rather than the artificially sweetened 0% fruit ones.

I need to maximise natural fats in free foods, like eggs, salmon, mackerel and will take full advantage of the HEXs.

2 HEX A will give me cheese for a meal (feta/halloumi/mozzarella salad) plus enough grated parmesan for a second meal.

HEX B there's plenty of nuts/seeds for healthy snacks (in synned ful fat natural yogurt with added fresh free fruit). It will incentivise me in reducing bread consumption, too, or syn the odd sourdough slice.

Then I can syn my olive oil, yogurt, avocado etc.

My breakfast today was 2 eggs poached in wilted spinach with 30g melted cheese (1 x HEX A).

Do you think it can work? Wish me luck! Will report back on starting weight as soon as I go to class.
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

Ssm what a fab loss, congratulations, enough incentive to keep you going! Well done :T.

Catarina, sounds like a plan. What about milk in teas and coffees? If you don’t drink these, make sure you drink something else. And just bare in mind, just because you don’t syn the spritzed olive oil, it could still have an impact on your weightloss, depending on how much you use ;). But it sounds like you know what you are doing, good luck!

Looks dry here so far. Hope everybody is well, hugs to those who could do with one :p. Still catching up with laundry here, just me & the dog today . Well, and a noisy lot of treesurgeons across the road taking down a neighbour’s 50+ yrs old tree :(. It is diseased unfortunately, and leaning, and too close to tarmac, but we are both sad to see it go.

    Morning All

Well I had a horrendous weekend of eating everything in sight, I have no excuse, work has been particularly stressful but that's the norm at the moment.
Anyhow gave myself a good talking to and back on it now. Went for a run( well I say a run more of a slow shuffle) this morning to get my head back in the right place.
    B cereal(hexb)and nat yog, fruit
    L egg salad
    D rice with veg
Not sure where my hexas will be today yet

Good luck Caterina you sound very prepared and determined, I also use my normal oil (usually rapeseed) in a spray bottle and don't syn it. I'm not a fan of bought ones (they also seem to ruin my pans) I also use natural 0% yoghurt which is syn free, I have got use to the sharpness of it now so don't add any sweetener just fruit, occasionally if it's for pudding I might add a crushed meringue
Well done on your loss sunshinemummy xx

Well done SSM that's a brilliant loss!

You are sounding determined Caterina. If it suits you to use syns for full fat yoghurt that's fine - as you know nothing is banned with SW you just need to limit it. With the olive oil I'd suggest discussing with your consultant as anything which is more than 1 cal per spray should be synned at 0.5 Syns for 10 sprays so I suppose it depends how much you need to spray on a pan!

I finally had a completely on plan day yesterday with no alcohol! and ended on 10 syns.

Damage limitation is continuing today. Today's plan:

B - porridge made with water; black and white grapes, strawberries & melon
L - jacket potato, beans, salad - mixed leaves, cucumber, tomato, fennel & 4 olives (1.5 syns) dressed with a syn free HM yoghurt dressing; pickled onions, pickled beetroot & HM syn free red onion chutney
D - Shepherds pie made with LO lamb from yesterday with fried up LO vegetables from yesterday (I find it very difficult to judge how much to cook for 6 when I usually only cook for 2!)

    HEA - milk
    HEB - porridge
Syns - 4 olives 1.5; may treat myself to a mini "magnum" type lolly 6 syns if I fancy a sweet treat

    Denise
  • WI day today synless week is over, so ill find out if damage limitation has worked. if not then i'll drink more next time!:rotfl:

Will report back with my results, if i get a 2lb off upto a STS, happy days!. Good luck all.

Thank you all for your interesting comments about olive oil. I syn the stuff on salads, usually 2tsps = 4 syns. Spray oil is just a tiny amount so I don't bother, I'd rather have a slower weight loss with more fat than vice versa anyway.

Honestly, it's enough for me to drop the sugary treats and ice cream and only by that I'll see a drop. Then reduce bread to a minimum and keep to reasonable size portions, it should work for me.

Had a lovely lunch, salad (lettuce, watercress, sauerkraut, beetroot) 2 tbsps oil 4 SYNS. Wild smoked salmon. 2 buckwheat thins (1/2 HEX B). Strawberries, cherries, 1/2 banana (it was huge!).

I like to save most allowances for the evening as I like a little snack watching TV.

Thanks again everybody for your support and encouragement.
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).
