You got me worried there for a bit by fortunately Wiki says that the " Hanger Lane gyratory is a large, complex roundabout" so we're both right. The essential is that they are both circular(ish) , multilane one way road systems
But if it were a roundabout it would have signs to that effect. It hasn't, and roundabout rules don't apply.

    Wikipedia is occasionally(?) wrong.

Any roundabout, irrespective of exit numbers:

Taking 1st exit, indicate left. Taking 2nd exit, do not indicate until passing 1st exit, then indicate left. For 3rd and subsequent exits, stay in correct lane and don't indicate until passing penultimate exit, unless taking last exit, in which case stay in lane nearest to roundabout centre and indicate right until passing penultimate exit, then filter left and indicate left. Stay in correct lane! Works for me.

No one remembers that drivers entering a roundabout should look right and give way to traffic from your right. Drives me crackers!

Give way to traffic from the right, which is already within the roundabout markings, I agree with. Give way to traffic that, like me, is entering the roundabout from another road, but at speed is a different matter...

    My experience is this...
    https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@52.3011192,-0.0923907,3a,75y,49.22h,90.51t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1scnGRxOSfrXvvm_O6WFsi1g!2e0!7i13312!8i6656

is utter unfathomable for most drivers. about 60% indicate right on approach, causing the drivers from the A14 to think they can go (expecting a slower speed to turn), while people coming in the opposite direction sit and wait till the car they're waiting for to then trundle past them.

But then, even on that streetview, the diversion points right instead of straight on, which should mean a lot of people heading to a Bentley dealership or a stagecoach garage.

Whether you agree or not, the HC (Rule 185) is clear.

"When reaching the roundabout you should give priority to traffic approaching from your right, unless directed otherwise by signs, road markings or traffic lights" No mention of whether the approaching traffic is already on the roundabout.
